Yes I think we should put in a bid for Richard Stearman & bring back Michael Turner aswell then we can mount a charge for the top 6. It doesn't look like we will get Lewis Dunk we need to move on.

I mean he's currently a Brighton player, so naturally, he'll play for Brighton if fit. Still three weeks from the close of the window.

I'd be happy with this.

They should adopt the Fulham. Sell your best players and never replace them.

I believe they only have one other senior central defender.

It does make you wonder.  Brighton know they are struggling to keep him but they are putting up a struggle. They are doing what they can.

Fulham just seem to cave in and wave players off  093.gif

Watching the game, Brighton not being tested too much defensively, when they have it's been down the Brighton right where Gordon Greer has done well dealing with anything down that side really. What I do like about Dunk is his attempts of attacking set pieces, he's not connected with anything yet, but at least he's attacking them, whereas last season our players seem to wait for the ball (should it beat the first man) and then have to head from a standing start; so you can see how Dunk scored a load last season.

I wouldn't say that him playing today means he's not moving, the chairman yesterday essentially said he's available for the right offer. They don't have any other options really, their only two senior central defenders are Gordon Greer and Lewis Dunk.

Dunk will be at the Cottage in 8 days time, playing for Brighton against us, unless that is Newcastle really are after him and have put in a bid that neither player or club can refuse.

Been talking to a Fulham fan from Brighton on twitter who is mates with Lewis Dunks brother.
He said he is definitely not going to Newcastle, I think for family reasons ?,he reckons he will sign for us as soon as Brighton  identify a replacement.

I wouldn't rule Stoke City out either, they are looking for a centre half with Shawcross being injured .

Him and Matt Mills of Forest  both very solid ......... Just dreaming.

Just watched some of the match. TBH, I didn't know much about him.

I have to say, he's got something. He's one of those inspirational defenders as opposed to a brilliant defender. A Cookie.

Absolutely love him at the Cottage. Be amazed if we get him, simply as feeling very underwhelmed at mo with all things fulham. we don't seem to have the wow factor in the championship, which is really sad. 13 years in premiership, great location, cash & a great new home kit.

How can a team from stockton on tees be more appealing than us?

Lewis Dunk was very solid tonight, reminded me of Brede Hangeland in his prime. He wasn't tested too much, I don't expect Forest to finish more than mid-table on this performance. However, he just carried on aura of assurance, provided a natural comfort and felt he was always in control of every situation.

Funnily, Matt Mills was also very good. We were slightly linked to him, and I thought that would have been a decent move at the time, but I'm not sure how reliable the link was.

Back to Dunk, I do think he'll eventually be a Fulham player at some point in this window, I just don't know when.

Oh and I don't think Newcastle are in for Lewis Dunk and if they are, not more than watching his progress. They've just tied Fabricio Coloccini down to a new contract, as well as just adding Chancel Mbemba and Jamaal Lascelles has joined up after signing and going out on loan. They've already got Steven Taylor and Mike Williamson also, whilst Paul Dummett frequently fills in at the middle of defence.

I want him to sign even more now. He seems to be a real leader aswell as a good player. Just pay the 5m give him a 5 year deal and fix the defence.

No, I don't see why Dunk starting means this one is dead.  Whether we splash teh cash is quite a different matter.

As one of their better players no surprise he is playing. The question is will be still be playing for Brighton when the transfer window ends.
