Thoughts so far?
Has it kicked off thought it was 8
7pm GMT.
Pitch looks really small and very slow paced so far. Cairney is playing too deep.

Has it kicked off thought it was 8
22nd minute, 0-0. Whoever commented on Button's distribution as a weakness was spot on.
4-3-3.
Oh dear, screamer
Button beaten from half way line
Wondergoal from just inside our half. Button not having a great start in a Fulham shirt!
What the ever loving hell was that
That's a shocker
Judging by that goal, and his 45 minutes v Brighton - this Button guy might not be all that good
Personally I thought that was a good goal rather than bad goalkeeping
That's the first goal conceded in pre season
No goalkeeper should be getting beat from there
Pitch really is tiny so it's not as shocking as is seems.

For me he doesn't move quick enough there, shot from half way line should never beat the keeper over the top of his head. Has to adjust and just flip it over the bar

It was hit pretty flat though, it's not so much a lob as he more or less drilled it, and it went top corner so you could argue he could've done better, but I just see it as being beat by a very good/lucky hit.
On a side note, looking a bit weak down our left, so I expect Malone to be making an appearance in place of Sessegnon soon.
Sess is play rb is he not
We are as boring as I remember anyway!
anyone else had the stream freeze up?
Parker and tunni in the centre are too stationary offensively, cant be used together in a flat 4..
Also very slow build up. Dry pitch?
YEEEEEEAH!!!
Woodrow scores!
I think odoi is right back, number 4?
Quote from: fulhamben on July 23, 2016, 07:38:26 PM

No, Odoi is RB and sess is LB
Woodrow with a cracker. Big season for him
Great goal
Cauley Woodrow take a bow.
Top quality finish as well, could be a big season for Cauley
Lol, so it's come to my attention that I haven't got a clue who half the team is.

shh now havent you heard, he useless and can only hold the ball up not a scorer
has the link stopped for anyone? mine wont re start
TC is still playing way too deep. Isolating woodrow so he can have two yard 1-2s with Parker!

Yes and missed the goal. Refreshed the page and it started back up for me.
Mine just crashed as well
Yes down now
Don't worry who they are - we will still end up playing the same rubbish - it's the Fulham training
what a magnificent goal under pressure in the box
Having let one in from distance, i now fully expect to concede from a set piece to bring back memories of last season
That has to be one of the smallest pitches I've ever seen a professional game played on.

I cant get it to restart
Well done CW.

Real Betis is a Spanish team.
The game is being played in Spain, near Seville.
Why are Betis taking so long to come back out?
The more I see a replay of the Betis goal, the more I think that it's just a good strike, it's literally gone right in the top corner of the goal
still disagree, think a keeper should be saving that every day of the week, but that's football everyone has a different opinion

Oh it was real and yes it was on a baseball field. It was a game in the women's league in the US, the NWSL between Rochester and Seattle a few weeks ago. Rochester has their own stadium they share with a team in the American 2nd division and a Major League Lacrosse team. It was booked for a concert so they had to play in the baseball stadium.

Of the new boys I particularly like Ayite and especially Odoi.
Cauley has always been decent both sides - takes pens with his right.
Who's the black bloke in the middle for us
So their player falls down goes to get back up again but decides nah fancy a lie down. Ref for some reason feels the need to stop the game and our player gets hacked by theirs but it ends up being a free kick to them? Oh the player also pushes ours. Wonderful ref we have here

I genuinely don't think he knows what he's doing - so many fouls being let go and then that fiasco. Probably not helped by the fact they're very keen to go down on minimal contact...

Saying that, probably should have been a pen to them. Is it Malone in No3 shirt?
I had to give up on the stream, restarted it about 10 times and it breaks down after about 2 minutes. Reading all your comments, yes I thought the pitch was very small. Made it look like a park game at times.
lol late pen given away
Wow, this IS a Spanish side....... every time they get in the box they jump into our defenders and flop to the ground. The ref finally decided to just give them one.
Malone the new jazz Richards. Lucky not to have conceded two penalties. The less we see of him the better, me thinks
what do you expect, Spanish players fall over for fun.
Malone gave the pen away, couldn't see it as stream locked up again

What I don't understand is ... Whatever exciting new squad we assemble - as soon as they put on a FFC shirt - it all ends up the same - why ?
(Over the last 5 years)
Pretty evenly matched, with just two individual errors costing us. Thought we looked a little light up top

I only watched the second half but thought we looked ok against a strong talented team, lots of changes etc. Malone did look like a straight swap for Jazz in terms of giving away daft penalties....

Really not impressed with Malone especially knowing Sess looks a talent i think Malone shouldn't be more than a back up player. Overall thought we defended really well would only like to see a couple quality players (Striker + Winger)

To be fair, the penalty was pretty harsh. Refs really need to do a better job when the attacker jumps into the defender and flops down. He didn't call it the first time (rightly) not sure why he did the 2nd.

A loss tonight then. I have no hope for this season. Lol
Well this game was a step up in quality and who knows how any team will do when the real stuff starts.coyw
Anyone writing off any individual player on the basis of one friendly (or twenty minutes thereof) needs to be ignored.
Some encouraging signs from a number of our new signings.
I think a proper creative midfielder would solve a few problems, hopefully McDonald can perform this role.

betis are a good team, we made them look ordinary... but hey, it wasa friendly and a ouple of the [layers only just arrived... newcastle is theproper test!
No wonder we lost. According to the offal, they made the goal as small as a postage stamp!:
"After being found by Ryan Sessegnon on the edge of the box, the striker held off his marker to turn and smash an unstoppable shot high into the postage stamp of the goal."
I've heard of moving the goal posts but that's ridiculous.

Let's not judge Scott Malone on his performance yesterday, he is a Fulham player who has just joined, plus he was instrumental in us moving Richards off our backs. So we owe him for that, plus you were wrong about Matt Smith, and I reckon you will be proved wrong with Our new recruit. Knee jerk reactions are not good for your knees, and neither is looking through keyholes on your knees.

Smudger I am sure will score his fair share given enough time on the pitch, plus his assists, and he will drag players away who are marking him away and create space for his team mates. So sometimes you need to improvise and compromise and not have tunnel vision. It's an uncompromising division, no place for faint hearts.
He is no Theiry Henry or Dennis Bergkamp, but neither is anyone else around here either.
I just checked in to see the score.... 88th minute goal and a penalty at that. mmmmm. So, managed to make same old mistakes but this time 2 in 1 go. My viewing kept breaking down. How did the team play? Score out of 10?
Some fans are not happy unless there is someone to have a go at. In the running and currently leading the race for the Fulham family public enemy no1 is Scott Malone. Bit pathetic isn't it, but some people just need this to get them through life.
Yes, it's wise to get off Scott Malones back, and encourage, he is new and a Fulham player, so support him, even if he happens to have an indifferent five minutes.

Nothing wrong with parking a Double Decker in front of goal, Portugal did it and won the Euros. That lot across the River Seven do it every match.
