Good news if true because we signed that deal in the premiership. I know it probably has a relegation clause but still you'd think it's better than what we can get now

Valencia's home kit - could we have a similar kit this year? Perhaps someone with some time on their hands could "play" with this kit, so we can see how it looks with our logo and sponsor.

Today we played plain black shorts , I think no trim. Plain white socks with bit of a black line at the top. Seems we're cutting out the fancy stuff and going simple black and white . Hope the top continues the trend. Fulhamish if they decide on a green stripe or purple stars though

It actually looks completely cobbled together.
The "V" on the neck looks like it's just a smartshape that's been pasted onto the kit and it looks very similar to just a regular white kit that's had the colours messed around with. +1 for effort to fool everyone but i'm not buying it. I do like the idea but this doesn't look right

We've always been one of the last to release but they have said they will look to change this in the future.
There are several teams that have not released their kit as yet, Southend United being one. Not that we hsould compare to them, but I dont get the big rush for it, other than perhaps some would like to take it on holiday with them.

It's not overly surprising he new kits are running behind. My understanding is that Visit Florida were due to be our sponsor for at least around season or 2 and they've run into some financial issues.
Makes sense that we held off moving forward with a new sponsor while we still thought we could just renew our existing deal. Sponsorship deals take weeks to finalise so we just need to be patient.
We were told the new kit couldn't be revealed until mid July, right?
Is there any positive reason to delay the announcement so long as we always seem to do?
Ah! Its all down to difficulties signing up a shirt sponsor you say!
Really?
So how come in a business where sponsorship and marketing has such an important role this club of ours fails so miserably time and again?
Probably because some of the people running and operating at the club, are clearly not qualified or experienced enough to work in their roles at an English Football Club. This has been clearly evident for quite a while, it's not something new.

24th July seems very late. Considering some clubs play their last game of the season in their new kit. The club misses out on those impulsive early season purchases.

Apparently due to overheads and costs, the agreement is that we can only play in 2 out of the 3 items of kit at a time. So in the next match the players have to bring their own Shorts.

Quote from: AlexW132 on July 24, 2017, 11:09:16 AMnothing we can do about that, Adidas work a template system. Unless of course your one of the big clubs in their portfolio or a big club in a small country so to speak, then you will get a lot of some bespoke depending on your situation. But mainly its templates and the big clubs like Bayern, Man Utd etc. will get the template 12 months in advance of everyone else.Quote from: bill taylors apprentice on July 24, 2017, 07:56:05 AMThe lack of creativity and individuality is not to like

Quote from: Newry FFC on July 24, 2017, 11:59:17 AMI have no issue with plain at all, it is also one of the tamplates. There are always small things that can be done but overall it is a basic template system adidas use. Ours was a template last year as well.
Templates can be individualistic. Shirt last season home and away was loved, and was very Fulham, and apart from a moan at launch time, hardly anyone mentioned it was the NI kits recoloured
Think it becomes lazy when the exact same colours are used on the same template. For example : Middlesbrough home 16/17, Watford away 17/18, Ayr United away 16/17
We've had all the gimmicks, the infra red, the red bar, the dull white, the grey stripes, plain is welcome for a change

I get that and I'd really rather not have something like that but I suppose, especially in the current climate, it's about which companies are willing to pay the most. I'm kind of with you though - to me personally I lump these websites in the same box as if we have a cigarette or alcohol company sponsoring.
I suppose the most positive response as a fan would be to not only not purchase the shirt but to email whoever the relevant person would be at the club and tell them your reason. It certainly won't make a difference overnight but I'll bet you aren't the only one so maybe long term the club would take those factors into consideration.

I think that's a bit harsh. The OP was simply stating an opinion and I think it's fair enough. Some people don't want to walk around advertising a betting company on their chest. They've every right to not buy a shirt on that basis.

I understand, money is money and the club will take whoever pays the best but would the club accept a sponsorship offer from an p*rn website even if they were prepared to pay the highest amount? Of course not! Think about the kids...
Kids are impressionable and if they see their favourite stars play with shirts sponsored by gambling companies, it normalises them to a practice that eventually will ruin lives.

Thats why Im 100% against this new sponsor and find it quite ironic that this is a team that is proud of being a 'family club'
What about the betting shops in the stadium? Or the people drinking alcohol? Or the people smoking outside?
I get your point about kids being impressionable, but it's not like they're going to see the casino name on the shirts and then sneak out for a game of blackjack after the match is it.

i much prefered the visitFlorida sponsor but its not the worst in the world. anyone know if there is any truth in the away kit being a different sponsor?
also, personalised mine and couldnt see the sponsor on the back that someone mentioned or am i missing something?

Are you suggesting we have a back of the short sponsor?
Quote from: grandad on July 26, 2017, 05:01:39 PMYes it's worth pointing out to those who don't know that the badge is not actually sewn onto the shirt, rather has been sewn separately then been glued on. Very sneaky cost cutting by adidas, at yet they put the price up by 5 quid...
It looks a bit Primark to me. The shirts on sale will be of inferior to the players shirts. They won´t have all the badges & were probably made in a sweat shop for £3.

Why is the goalkeeper kit more expensive than the home shirt? Or has this always been the case?
Quote from: Fulhamfan666 on July 26, 2017, 11:58:41 PMLong sleeved shirts are generally more expensive.

Will the Grovesnor logo make it on kit 2 and 3? Sure someone said on here we'd have a different sponsor on the away shirts.

Would Grovesnor allow that? I would have thought it would reduce the money they would pay us if they only sponsored the home shirt.

Ok so ELEV8 make their kits now, and ELEV8 energy drinks is an away sponsor, probably just company names acquired by the owner to pump money in to get around FFP ?
Not sure you could find a company who specialise in energy drinks and kit manufacturing.
Actually looking at the design of the kit, they hardly specialise..

At least it isn't in figure hugging lycra like the Kappa kits.
Quote from: Newry FFC on August 03, 2017, 08:43:46 PMBeen on their shirts before...tacky in my opinion
I know it's their chant , on the inside of their shirt does it ACTUALLY say "nobody likes us we don't care.."
Quote from: Newry FFC on August 03, 2017, 08:43:46 PMAnd looking at their shirt sponsors they expect to go straight back down again !!
