Madness, cav leading the line again.
im gonna wait for the result, but if it goes the way i think it will, with the team he has picked, then im gonna lose it.
How in God's Name is Cavs starting!? No Mitro? Wtf. Cavs score a hat trick and prove me wrong.
I can't believe Cav is playing again. It defies all logic.
No Mitro either ffs. This mad love affair with SP and Cav is getting tedious now. That could be the decision that gets SP the boot.

you lost it a long time ago Ben !! (joke )
Anyone care to guess formation?
Areola
Aina
Andersen
Tosin
Robinson
Reed
Anguissa
RLC
Cav
Lookman
BDR
SP must see something in Cav no one else can??? Hope he proves me wrong.
Mitro isnt fully fit.
I will give my thoughts after the game. Another game another chance to prove yourself CAV, silence the doubters.
although i will say, i fully get why mitro has been dropped. hes in shockung form, and bobby currently offers a lot more.

Maybe one of the only strikers that tracks back and helps out his back?!?!? That is one of Kamara's faults right?
Ben, what would your starting eleven be?
Going for pace? Can't see otherwise why Cav still being picked. And no TC
The biggest problem with Cav is that he always takes more then one touch. His love affair with the ball, is a 'momentum' killer.
If we are losing, 'effect' the match early at half time.
We live in hope.🤔
Who will be captain?
Fuchs is a 'dead rigger' for Gareth Southgate.
Once again game over by 35 minutes 🙄
A big decision to make Anderson captain.

wouldnt be far off of this, with the players available, but i honestly dont see how cav makes the bench let alone starting another game. its criminal, to the point id even get the police in to investigate if parker has whacked a huge sum on himself to be the first manager to get sacked. can anyone make a rational claim for him to be anywhere near the team. he offers nothing, less than nothing. no doubt he will do something tonight for the first time in nearly a season to make me look silly, but my god how is this justified. and no, looking good on the training pitch accounts for nothing when you have consistently been anonymous for so long.

35 really, I was thinking more like 15 minutes! Picking Cav again is a joke as many have already said, not sure what is worse lockdown or probably having to watch yet another defeat tonight. We live in hope!
Cav again.... Jesus Christ. He's been terrible all season and he keeps getting picked and never subbed. What is going on

+1, good idea to keep an idea on the sack race (1st premier league manager to be sacked) betting odds, I share your theory as well either that or Parker has totally lost the plot!!
Cav should have been Captain
Captain Cav has a good ring to it
Sounds like a superhero

Don't hold your breath
I don't agree with you very often Ben, but I do agree with you about Cav, very none productive.
He'll probably score an absolute stunner tonight to prove us all wrong!!
After seeing the line up I barely wanna watch this game now, so disappointing
I hope I eat my words but I very much doubt it

100% headscratcher. How on earth does he get close to the pitch?! What does Scott see in him? Lets hope its the few goals to bring home the 3 points? The chances you get struck by lightning are greater.
No Cairney or Mitrovic. Both would be in my starting 11. Why is Kamara on the bench? He should be sold ASAP to allow space for a proper forward. Cavaleiro stays in, Parker must have more faith in him than most on this board.
Let's win for the wardrobe
WHAT DOES HE SEE IN CAV! :031: 093.gif

Cav is involved in most attacking moves, and also tackles back and defends. He also has a lethal long range shot, which we haven't seen enough of in recent times, but he can score from a distance.
Maybe today...
Just saying as to why Scott might pick him.

that has to be worst case scenario doesnt it. to be losing 5 0 deep into stoppage time only for cav to step up and smash in a screamer after doing sod all for 94 minutes, to justify his inclusion for the rest of the season
I seem to remember TK saying how hard he had worked and what an achievement it was to sign Cav. Could this have something to do with this baffling selection?
Perhaps the one positive from this starting line up is that Brendan Rodgers must be every bit as confused as we are.

or not, we are baffled because his selection makes no sense, but if you scouted us, you would know that it doesnt matter how bad he plays scott cant/wont drop him.
Other than cav, it's a decent line up. Having said that, who should play instead? Mitro has been in such poor form and ak is pretty useless. Not sure Cairney or leminacould play that role so doesn't leave is with many options. Also Kebano doesn't cut it.
Finally,,,,no Mitro or Cairney, might have a chance today.

I cannot understand myself why Cav is picked when you see who else is on the bench and who did not even make the bench. This is a complete mystery unless he is there for penalties.
This isn't a crazy idea to play our "graft" lineup and try to disrupt rather than possess against a side that prefers to counter rather than possess.
Ultimately, we're probably not good enough regardless, and I wouldn't have Cav anywhere near the XI, but Parker's idea about how to approach this match has some merit.

lol
Cav., prefered to Mitro or Kamara, then we have to sign a new striker on Jan 1st at the absolute latast.
We have a dof who knows nothing about football and probably has no idea how cack Cav has been for months. Maybe he's like Ronaldo in training, but Ronald McDonald in the matches. I'm convinced SP isn't going anywhere even if we end the season on 4 points, or his job would have been threatened by now.
I pray for a freak result in our favour, but the fact is we've only taken points off the dung teams and lost to others who've been well off form.
I'm expecting a hammering.

The best way to give Cav some rest would be to start Ream. That way, we can get back to normal bashing him. May on here were happy to have Cav when he arrived. He is what we yanks call a journeyman. Not great. Not terrible. He simply fills a spot. Wish we had someone better? You betcha. Still, he's a Fulham player and even wit all the
hate he gets, wouldn't it be Fulhamish if he had a great game?

Hey! This hate on Cav day. Lay off our DOF. He'll get his in January.
Cav AGAIN??? WTF
Don't understand the meltdown over this at all

Because there HAS to be a meltdown. Every. Single. Game.
I fail to understand leaving out TC who has been one of our only Prem standard players this season. As for Cav's inclusion, words fail me.

He had a good game against West Brom but otherwise hasn't been head and shoulders above the rest of our best XI, has he. He's one of our most immobile, slowest players and nigh on useless when we don't have possession. So I can entirely understand the reasons for dropping him in a game where we're likely to be defending and counter-attacking most of the time.
The same reasons IMO justify dropping Mitrovic for Cavaliero, who's not made an impact at this level but is nowhere near as poor as some on here make out. He's not another Mark Fotheringham.

Steady with that sensible logic. I do get the flak that Cav gets but as you suggest none of Cairney, Mitro or AK track back and Cairney, RLC and Zambo cannot play at the same time.

lets hope so. I fear letting this slip would be as detrimental as a spanking would be. Will be the easiest half time talk in history, same again lads same again
Agree with comments on Cav but am surprised that nobody is troubled by Aina being selected again.
I've only seen him in 2 full games (so apologies if I just saw him on 2 freaky bad days) but to my mind he makes Cyrus Christie and Denis Odoi look like Carlos Alberto and Cafu

With benefit of hindsight, I agree. TC slows us down with his sideways passes and is entirely predictable because of his one footed game. Premier quality defenders know how to shepherd him away from the danger area. Mitro has been off the pace for most of this season and makes us one-dimensional. I confess I wasn't happy about Cav, but he played well tonight. Let's hope his goal will give him the confidence to improve further.

Cav's pen proved to be the winning goal. 3 points is what we needed and we played as a team, chasing back, doubling up on the opposition and getting the win. Reed, RLC and Lookman look like a good trio atm.
