Don't boo Parker on Friday
We are much too classy for that. :dft003:
I also don't think he should be booed. he served the club well being captain on the pitch in his later playing days and always gave his all. He took managerial role in a poor relegated position and brought some life back to the club. He got us promoted first time of asking and albeit got us relegated gave us some good times.
Football fans are fickle and don't remember this and no doubt will give him a hard time.
:plus one:
No point booing, also would it add an incentive to them.

Beau Boscombe is back in town - and Fernhurst is spot on when he says that we must not boo him. We must demonstrate our class and style ( something he failed to demonstrate either on the pitch or in the manner of his departure ). I will turn my back - as he did to this great club.
The real Beau ( Brummell) was right when he declared -
" Fashions come and go - bad taste is timeless " a very apt description of one Scott Parker
I won't boo him but I also won't acknowledge him

This is what I would do if I were attending the game. I certainly think it is the best policy. I can't for the life of me think that the Fulham fans will greet him like the Leicester fans greeted Ranieri yesterday!! For him to be ignored by us says it all imo...
As a manager Parker didn't do a bad job and he served us well as a player.
I am prepared to give him a polite round of applause on Friday, well short of a standing ovation though.
Definitely not , what would be anyone's reason for booing .
But I can almost guarantee some will , I will feel embarrassed .
Totally agree Fernhurst. Scott took us back up after a well organised display to beat the favourites Brentford in the play off final at Wembley.

Can we sing "what's the score" when we go 4 up
Scott who?
Parker took Fulham for every penny he could get and we were foolish enough to give it to him but agree, don't boo him.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w3qPMe_cCJk
I agree, the only reception he should get is a Mitro hat-trick
I agree that the best treatment of Parker is to ignore him as for any other team's manager but football is full of people without manners or judgement. There are those who jeer "taking the knee", boo other countries' national anthems and even some who have the bad taste to sing GSTQ!
The most deafening response to his arrival is ignoring him, and as stated above, he shouldn't be booed.

That's about right by me too. Did his best for us before getting a better offer. I don't blame him .. but I am also happy we have Silva instead.
I hated watching Parker ball and I blame him personally for ruining my enjoyment of watching us play for the best part of two seasons.
I will sing our new song aimed directly at him with great pleasure on Friday.
Scott Parker:
Got us relegated from the Premier League twice.
Got promoted by the skin of his teeth via a fluke free kick with arguably the best squad in the league.
Almost forced our star player out the door.
Fleeced us for every penny he possibly could before effing off to Bournemouth for more money.
I have no time for the guy at all and fully intend on booing him on his return. I also sincerely hope Mitro scores and celebrates in front of him.

I agree with all you say apart from the last sentence. I think just ignoring him as if he is unimportant would be more effective...I really hope Mitro scores but sincerely hope he doesn't overdo the celebrations and get sent off!!
I think it's a little bit harsh blaming him for the first relegation
Whether we like SP or not, he did get us up just, and gave us bragging rights over Brentford for years to come. Didn't enjoy SP's style and pleased we have Silva's style. Hopefully the football will do the talking on Friday.
Let us rise above the booing we are better than that.
Show a bit of class as he may even be expecting some boos so surprise him with complete silence if you wish it would be better all round, however some may decide to applaud him, not everyone is bitter.
I have no problems with Scott Parker, whether you like him or not you have to look at the wider picture, he served this club as a player and manager and always gave 100%.
I think booing serves no purpose apart from showing yourself up and if anything upsets yourself more than the person who is on the end of your booing. It's almost counter productive as it will just make Parker and his players more determined.
So as already been mentioned show a bit of class.
No chance that SP will not hear the boos but I said Derby were toast. What do I know.
Booing Parker will be the most counter productive act. Don´t do it.
At Preston on Saturday in the first half, Preston were a bit wasteful and we were on top. A small selection of our fans raised the "You're F****ng S**t" ditty.
It felt really embarrassing to me. That song should be entirely reserved for QPR when we go 3 up. It works then. At any other time, it makes us look a bit classless and will only encourage the opposition....which it did.
Its about as motivational as the classic "How S*** must you be, were winning away"
Booing is a weird thing for a human to do and should be left at the Panto.
As others have said, I don't feel the need to boo. It's a pointless exercise. He'd probably enjoy it also, because it's a reaction of some kind and his ego needs it. Ignoring him would damage his ego more than anything else.
Although, the best form of protest, would be the two players he froze out unnecessarily in mitro and Rodak, having the best games of their careers, and taking three points.
Ah, grown men booing again.

Sorry but I don't think scraping past Brentford in the play off final will give us bragging rights over them for years to come. We were only in the EPL for one season before they took our place and I think they will stay up. I do hope that the football will do the talking on Friday and that we absolutely stuff Bournemouth. A Mitro hat trick and a clean sheet works for me! As RBAMH said, and I alluded to, ignoring SP would harm his ego more than giving him the satisfaction of booing him...

Well when we're losing to them next season at least we can sing WEMBLEY WEMBLEY WEMBLEY :022:
I see no point in booing the guy, or any guy for that matter.
It can only be counter-productive as I feel a number of our players will - no doubt - be on good terms with SP, and the embarrassment they would feel by such a spectacle could affect them a damn sight more than it would any Bournemouth player. Additionally, why create an atmosphere of hostility at the Cottage, we are known to be that friendly club with real - not plastic - supporters who can take the knocks as well as the successes with more than a degree of dignity than most.
There have been plenty more villains in our living memory history that have done far, far worse, towards us, and the way we show our contempt towards such persons is to just play at our best and enjoy the successes that come our way.

Agree with the general sentiment. The free kick though was no fluke and arguably his finest moment as Fulham manager as he was directly involved in plan/strategy to try it. As much as he was poor manager with dull style of play, I can't take the free kick away from him.

Imagine if we could coordinate the home crowd on all three sides of the ground to stand as Parker walks across the hallowed turf pre-match and all simultaneously turn their backs on him in silence. That would be a far classier protest than booing.
I don't agree that he was a bit-part player for us. In a recent episode of the EFL Podcast TC name Parker as THE best player he's ever played alongside.
I didn't enjoy his turgid football but he still got us promoted. I just resent that he orchestrated his departure from January of this year but instead of resigning tried to extort a payoff from the club.
From what friends at the club tell me the staff are more likely to boo him Friday night. He was not a popular figure around Motspur Park by the time he left which is a pity. I met him a few times home and away after matches and he always had time for us and a few words for my kids. Back when he was still a player for us I asked him directly if it were true that he paid the £20k fine Magath handed out to 2 academy players which he confirmed. Now that was a touch of class.

Fluke free kick? One of the best I've ever seen imo.
I anticipate a polite ripple of applause from the Putney and JH; and a few boos from the back of the hammy end. I'm actually at the front of H6, and am planning on maintaining a stoic silence when Parker walks out
Polite applause should happen. He wasn't one of Fulham's one season disasters, he made a decent contribution to the cause for a few seasons in a variety of roles.
Definitely won't be booing, but will not acknowledge him at all, don't forget he wanted out last summer, am sure if we lost to Brentford he would have have left for Bournemouth, think he tried again in January, but was told no, that's why Bournemouth got Woody in on a short contract at the last minute.
He ruined out them ethic last season, upsetting a lot of the players and staff by the sounds of it!
As far as I am concerned we played really well in about half a dozen of his games under his tenure and that's it, didn't want to be here so sod him!

That's the grown up mature way of dealing with it, anything else is infantile and detracts what actually should be an intriguing match and on SKY, and on paper should be a classic, but hopefully will see the best of Fulham on the pitch which should be shear class unlike the classless suggestions off the pitch.
Interesting to see how the Bournmouth fans react, If they get a goal or two I guess they could make us smart with chants for Parker.
Is he popular at Bournmouth
Am I the only one who just doesn't care? I can't dislike him enough to want to boo him (not that I particularly agree with booing our ex players), and I certainly can't find any good reasons to applaud him. I am utterly indifferent to the guy.
I'm glad he left and I don't doubt that he had been in discussions with Bournemouth since the summer of 2020. That said I always felt he gave the club 100% particularly as a player. I think we need to put all of our time and effort into supporting our players and management team and ignore Parker.
He's gone, we are better for it. No loss really. Wouldn't have enjoyed another season of the dross he served up. Wouldn't boo him but his lack of class on leaving means no clapping for the guy.
At what point would said Booing or Applauding happen? It's not like they will be introducing him before kick off or at half time!
Or do people mean how loud will the "Scotty Parker.. what a banker, what a banker.." will be sang?

I think everyone getting behind our own team and manager is the most important thing we can do. Lets make some noise on Friday, you know their fans will be singing in the pubs and on to Craven cottage. Wouldn't it be great to hear a home crowd singing in the pubs and walking across the bridge and through the park for a change or indeed from whichever direction you turn up from.
