Need to capitalize on these chances
Doing well but need to find a goal.
We must keep attacking as their defence is weak
Been brilliant so far. Just final pass or shot
Excellent opening 20 mins, just need a goal please!
Some of our football is brilliant
Marco has put out a strong lineup. When Fulham are playing their best they can beat anyone. They beat Spurs in the EFL Cup.
I am watching the game on the USA Network. Does anyone know who the tv commentators are? The lead voice has a high pitch voice, like it's coming from a midget or a woman (no offense, don't know how else to describe it). I have not heard this commentator before.
Great performance so far, we need to continue to play like this and the goals will come.
Andreas needs to stop shooting from 35 yards. 25 and in then sure have a go but those ultra long shots are pointless.
The ref doesn't seem to want to penalise Spurs but isn't so shy when Fulham do it. Or am I biased?
Quote from: LittleErn on March 16, 2024, 05:58:23 PMThe ref doesn't seem to want to penalise Spurs but isn't so shy when Fulham do it. Or am I biased?
Not seen anything at this early stage to suggest any ref bias.
If only Pereira could finish

Shoot and you shall score
They're getting too much joy on their left. Castagne does seem to standoff a long way.
We've been on top but haven't scored. Makes me nervous.

Yep has me worried too. Control has flipped after we failed to score one of our chances and now they look much more dangerous.
Quote from: LittleErn on March 16, 2024, 06:01:34 PMThey're getting too much joy on their left. Castagne does seem to standoff a long way.
Yes I agree. I think Tete would provide better defensive cover.
Pereira losing out in too many l to 1 tackles.
Yesssssssss
RODDY F'ING MUNIZ!!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes!
Fulham! Beautiful goal!
YEEEES
Who says Robinson can't cross!
Munigoal
Just brilliant.
Lovely cross from Robinson as well. He has really improved. He'd be in the England team right now(due to injuries) if hadn't chosen the US
I take it all back! ::wine:: ::scarf:: Barring VAR
6 in 7 for Muniz!
Muniz on fire!
Sexy football. Get in you little roddy dazzler!!
Need to unleash Adama in the 2nd half with a lead
I've been cautious but I'm starting to get very excited about Muniz. That was a very, very good first touch and finish.
Muniz seems to be the real deal and not just a purple patch. Long may it continue!
So far so good. We've been better than them and deserve the lead, but Spurs have a record of coming back late in the game. Let's hope we can keep this level up til the end. They've certainly created a few good chances so I think we'll need more than one.
Great performance so far. Robinson wonderful, the midfield 3 absolutely bossing their midfield, Muniz battling hard and two centrebacks very assured. Castagne has been superb in attack, but I feel like all Spurs attacks that had any danger in them have come from his side and due to his poor defending. Likewise with Andreas, he was crucial in our pressing and general midfield play, but has been erratic at times. Tete and one of Traore/Wilson/Cairney to come on for two of them at some time in the second half. If Lukic/Willian get tired later on, Reed and another one of the Adama/Wilson/Cairney to come on for them.
More of the same in the second half please.
Quote from: Twig on March 16, 2024, 06:19:00 PMI've been cautious but I'm starting to get very excited about Muniz. That was a very, very good first touch and finish.
The spin flick to lay it off was brilliant earlier on as well. Also got in two other good goal scoring positions showing he is making all the right runs. Very unluck with the back flick as just missed it as was player behind him. Brilliant finish for the goal. Been an absolute menace against two very decent centre backs. Absolutely loving the kid.
We've been absolutely class. Brilliant press. Brilliant passing. We look absolutely electric on the break. What a ball from Robinson..6 assists this season? Brilliant.
They have got tonnes of quality of course and Maddison is just so good but whatever happens second half that was a half to be proud of.
If we bring Cairney on for the final half hour we could tear them apart.
However they can come out a different team in the second half.

Agree with all of this. Castagne caught out in attack too many times and he doesn't have the recovery speed to do that like Robinson does. Thankfully Johnson has been bad but he can flip cold to hot really quick.
Andreas just isn't strong enough on the ball and gets dispossessed way too easily. Happened two or three times and he had a bad giveaway. They haven't capitalized on those but that needs to be cleaned up.
I like Adama for Pereira fairly early(55-60 minutes) with Iwobi moving centrally.
Spurs don't normally get going until the second half. Hopefully we won't give them a chance to today.

Good to have so many realistic options.
We will need a 2nd. Can't see a clean sheet happening.

absolutely. will be a nail biter
Good start.
Yeeeeeeeeeees
LUKIC
please be onside, that looked really close
Yesssss
What a finish
Yes Sasa!
Quote from: btffc on March 16, 2024, 06:37:22 PMLUKIC

Wasn't close. Very clever finish.
Spurs are shell shocked.
When Fulham move quickly forward inside the 30, they are lethal.
Perfect start
Keep attacking
Sassa has just been a completely different player the last month. What a massive bonus him finally coming good.
::scarf::
Hopefully Andreas isn't seriously injured and will be able to play for Brazil national team, but I'd sub him off here regardless and bring on Adama.
We've got the base to win this. Now we need to build on that. There's no way we should try to defend the lead against a team like Spurs who have been strong in the last quarter of their matches this year.
Yet another yellow for Palhinha.
Might need to take Joao off for Reed and go back to the double pivot with Lukic
Not sure Reed is disciplined enough, positionally, for this game.
Just brilliant football
Fulham have been in good form for two months now. Even the games they lost 1-2 to Wolves, and the 1-2 loss to Villa could have gotten points.
Jaou Palhinha has to stop giving so many fouls. He is a big aggressive midfielder, but too many times over extends the leg unnecessarily.
Come on Fulham, come on!
Brave boy Muniz. ::scarf::
Rodrigo you absolute beauty!
Muniz, best striker in the league? 😉
Yeeeeees
This is one of our best ever performances
Hopefully Rodrigo isn't seriously injured.
Fingers crossed Muniz is OK. Shame he's had to go off. I'd have liked to see him get his hat trick.
PILE IT ON BABY!
Muniz, Muniz, Muniz! I knew you could do it!
Quote from: SerbianLad on March 16, 2024, 06:52:29 PMHopefully Rodrigo isn't seriously injured.
He just got kicked on the calf I think. Should be ok but probably hurts like hell.
Ffs so close
So who was offside? Ah yes.OK good decision. Would they have given it if he'd not made contact?
Was hoping to use my Dire Straits pun "Muniz For Nothing, and Hat-Tricks for Free" but that will wait for another time
Spurs getting close to scoring.
I doubt this game finishes with a clean sheet for Fulham.
I'd bring on Wilson and Adama for Willian/Andreas.
Quote from: LittleErn on March 16, 2024, 06:54:30 PMSo who was offside? Ah yes.OK good decision. Would they have given it if he'd not made contact?
They'd have given it if we were Man City ::wink::
This Spurs are never dead till the end. But we really shouldn't give this one away.
Phew
Raul will score in a minute
Werner misses an absolute sitter.
Don't mess this up Fulham.
3-0 and I'm still biting my nails.
Oh come on Andreas. Dispossessed again then a giveaway in 15 seconds
Quote from: btffc on March 16, 2024, 06:59:19 PMOh come on Andreas. Dispossessed again then a giveaway in 15 seconds
He looks injured to me.
Wilson coming on for Pereira
Bring Adama on now
Bound to have to do a bit of defending at some stage. We have a great back four though so no reason why we should be too nervous.
Quote from: Twig on March 16, 2024, 07:02:57 PMQuote from: St Eve on March 16, 2024, 07:01:32 PMBring Adama on now
But who would you take off?
I'd take Willian off. He's been great today, but seems to be tired now imo.
20 mins to go and still going strong.
Taking Willian off would be a big call, he's been fantastic tonight.
Risky by Willian!
Quote from: Twig on March 16, 2024, 07:06:10 PMTaking Willian off would be a big call, he's been fantastic tonight.
He has but Traore is a beast
Fulham are playing one of their best games ever against Hotspur.
Games won: 20
Games drawn: 30
Games lost: 55
Robinson has been fantastic
Triple substitution but no Traore, interesting.
Robinson has been immense. He'll need that warm bath!
Castagne and Lukic have ran their socks off. Deserved break for them.
What a player that Robinson is.......
Quote from: St Eve on March 16, 2024, 07:09:49 PMRobinson has been fantastic
MOTM by a mile for me even with Muniz scoring 2. He has been ridiculous.
I suppose the substitutions reflect how much effort we have put in, but we should still be looking to go forward. We tend to panic under pressure at the end of games.
Quote from: bill taylors apprentice on March 16, 2024, 07:11:25 PMWhat a player that Robinson is.......
They call him Jedi Robinson for a reason. He seems to never get tired. I am surprised none of the bigger clubs have tried to snatch him so far. Better for Fulham.
I've been watching this on Sky... this performance has been unbelievable really. Robinson has especially been out of this world. Muniz will get MOTM but AR for me has been outrageous.
Raul too slow for this game.

That's not the reason they call him Jedi - he's a big Star Wars fan.
He is a terrific athlete though. He could run all day long!
7 mins?
7 mins Injury Time
Great pass and good effort by Wilson.
Hotspur have been off all day.
Maybe Fulham WILL get the clean sheet after all.
I know we are up 3-0 but we have given up way too many chances at the end of the game which really seems to be a common theme for us. We just don't know how to kill a game.
Sky give Muniz MOTM.

I think we're seeing it out very well. We are still looking very dangerous going forward and Spuds' chances haven't been clear cut. Could still go to 4-0.

We could have won this game by 6 goals or more. Silva out.
And that is a fantastic win.

I think the clean sheet is as impressive, first clean sheet anyone has achieved against Tottenham this season, That's awesome!
Great game for the Whites.
They have a chance to win the rest of their games except maybe the home games against Man City and Liverpool.
Time to climb up the table.
Fulham the first team to keep a clean sheet against Spurs this .league season, apparently

Just awesome in every way. Our back 4 was immense. Centre backs so good together and oh my days Robinson was good. You know you don't want to leave this team Tosin.

Such a shame we didn't take our chances at Wolves. We fully deserve to be 9th right now.
Yes, they had some good chances despite being second best for most of the game but that's due to how both teams play.
Exceptional performance by us, passion, hard graft, skill, tactics and........... goals!
