It wasn't all doom and gloom today , we did set a new record .  We managed to play 16,304 backward passes , we were so good at this in the first half that after 20 mins I was completely confused about which end we were attacking .

I have said on another spot that Parker's obsession with possession is hurting us. It seems to be affecting the players psychologically.  They appear to play so conservatively because they are frightened of taking risks and losing that precious possession.
I have no problem with seeking to dominate possession but it has become an end in itself, it's been pushed too far.

A step backwards yesterday ,but in the previous matches we had more tempo and purpose in posession. It was however ball watching defenders and midfielders that cost us the three points.

The tempo was slow and then AK came on.
Im not a big fan as my view is he is more of an athlete than a baller but he epitomises what the the team was lacking until that point......speed, aggression and direct incisiveness.
Credit where credit is due and SJ did his best to up it during the 90 but AK transformed us in the last 20mins.

SJ was back to his best yesterday but he was having to carry too many others yesterday . Always frustrating how teams can be so toothless then score a goal and suddenly find some bite . Interesting AK seized his chance when offered , did Kebano do the same in his little cameo yesterday ?

Kamara does what he always does rather than following the Parker tactics, which is why he is so effective. He comes inside and plays off of Mitro using the space that is given from both CB's picking him up rather than hugging the line.
