Tactically very basic and for us to have a better chance in the playoffs he needs to take the handbrake off because his cautious attitude may cost us.

Agree with the general criticism of his tactics but the play-offs are always cagey, which IMO may suit Parker. Huddersfield managed to 'win' the play-offs with a 0-0, 1-1 and 0-0. I can see us doing something similar, albeit relying on a couple narrow wins instead of penalties. I can also see us getting Mowbray's Blackburn in the semis, and Parker will never outsmart him tactically. So it will be about keeping it tight and hoping our quality prevails at some point.

My only worry about Parker is that we've not got a good record against the top 6 this season, I think we've got two wins in eight and the majority of the losses were games in which he was just out thought by his opposing manager, with the exception of WBA where we threw away a win quite literally. Agree with your point though that the playoffs cagey factor may play into his hands, he's also got a playoff winning core in his team still so that's also a massive bonus to our chances. I also think the general inconsistency of the 5-8 teams below us means that we could end up playing someone bang average if we end up third and play 6th place and then you'd have to fancy us playing on a massive Wembley pitch, should we make it there again.

Alternatively we could beat Leeds and WBA and start a mini implosion with one of them and come top 2, I guess you don't know until 5pm after game 46 and the dust settles.

Hilarious I find this constant downtrodding of Parker,a bloke in his first job and doing well in my book,I bet clubs like Wednesday, Boro and likes who were expected to be in the mix would have liked him at their helms.
I'd go as far and say if some of you we're Liverpool fans, you would have wanted Klopp sacked after losing to Watford and Chelsea in a week.
Parker is here for the long run,he's the Kahn's project, even if we don't go up he will be here still.
Get behind the bloke and stop ridiculous posts just because you didn't like him as a player or a person.

Academic tbh.

No way anyone would sack a manager when in third spot.
Siblings, let us not be down on it.
One total catastrophe like this...is just the beginning !

My first job was in a supermarket on about £4 an hour. So you'll have to forgive me for not feeling sorry for Parker getting paid about £500k a year to manage a football club.

Well you can take games against the top 2 out of the equation because we won't get them in the play-offs.

By my calculations, we've played 11 games against the remainder of the top 10 (ie the 7 teams below us) and got 4 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses. Which isn't great but not terrible either. Hopefully we'd avoid Brentford and Forest in the semis and get someone from the pack behind that - Bristol, Preston, Blackburn, Millwall, Cardiff...

I think Scott is learning, and learning quickly.
Yesterday, his tactics were spot on and we dominated the game. Certainly we were the only team trying to win.  Created most clear cut chances, scored a good goal and they were desperately hanging on at the end, we were pushing like mad and very unlucky not to edge the game.
We have basically got nothing to lose, even mediocre form will see us in the play offs.  So might as well go hell for leather, to win every game.

Why do  you despise Parker?
I cant answer for the poster but I know many who dont like him and that's from when he signed as a player. I have always found him hard to like and i dont think he was anywhere near as good a player for us as many think. Yes he had his moments but for me a massive waste of money. Tactically very basic and for us to have a better chance in the playoffs he needs to take the handbrake off because his cautious attitude may cost us.

I was questioning the use of the word 'despise.'

OK, so some don't rate him, as player or manager, and I accept  this, though I disagree,,  but despise is strong word to use, by someone who has probably never met him.
Presumably, most accept that he is just doing his job to the best of his ability, so why 'despise'?
