Room for improvement from Knocky but a decent player on his day.

And that's the problem, isn't it?  Only 'on his day' is he productive.  Largely a disappointment in my mind.  Puts in the work effort and a good shift, but always comes up empty in producing.  Poor passes, oft times gets himself in position where it's him v 2-3 other players and gets knocked off the ball.  I just see a lot of holes in his game.  Consistent production lacking.  Not overly excited about his extension.  Hope, of course, he can prove me wrong....
i'm desperate not to be negative about his signing so I'm backing this quoted post completely.
1975 just leaving home full of hope

Tbh I have no problem with his signing, I think to get the best out of him the ball has to be fed to him going forward, not, static or coming back to get it as we play.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

Half our squad maybe more are nowhere near good enough to compete in the Premier League, in the event that we do go up and wish to stay there for more than 1 year, the club will have to spend 100m on new players and hopefully will spend more wisely this time. I am not sure that Knockaert or Cav will contribute very much next season which ever division we end up in, they have both under achieved this season and yet the club invest a lot of money signing them on a permanent basis, deja vu!!

Anyone prepared to make an educated guess at the amount we have paid for Reid, Cavy and Knock, I really have no idea but added to the value of Mitro it probably gives us the most expensive strike force in the Championship and one that has scored too few goals this season.

Our bench could look pretty god although the players will not be too happy as having  recently signed they will have expected regular places in the starting eleven.

Not sure that this is the right move given what he has displayed in a Fulham shirt. The positive is that we all know what he can do, and we just need to find a way to unlock his ability within our system. Regardless, he is a White now and so let's get behind him. Players have made me eat my words before (Gera/Baird), and I hope it happens again.
Agree with this. Same opinion with Cav and Reed to be honest. If we go up then what? I guess they will be squad players

This is what I'm thinking.   We've solidified quality depth on the squad if we go up, or we've got the makings of a squad that can fight for promotion in the Championship.

Welcome Anthony.    082.gif

I'd sign reed over knock every day of the week, in fact i'd sign reed over any of the loan signings we've made permanent.

What's done is done and he's a Fulham man now.  Welcome fully aboard Anthony and let's hope your best days lie ahead.

Knockaert is not a selfish player as people say, he just lacks the vision to pick the right pass. The longer he is in the team the more he will know where other FFC players are and the more he will know what his team is probably doing around him. If getting Knockart helps keep Mitro and Reed the better.

Colton F.C.

Knockie's cameo at Forest was outstanding running all over the pitch harrying, blocking and going on mazy runs denying the opposition possession and then joining with Onomah in a classic double-team in the corner.  He was a nightmare for a tiring team playing their fifth match in short succession and trying to get back into the game.

The odd thing is that he has been playing exactly like this all season and has been rightly criticised for a lack of product.  Where the situation changes and time needs to be taken out of the game he seems to have found his forte and was able to effectively use his undoubted skills.

Whether this could lead to the return of his mojo, who knows?  Maybe the contract will help.  What we do know is that he can be successfully deployed from the bench to assist in hanging onto to those inevitable 'Parker' one goal leads.

Therefore welcome Anthony. COYW.

I really don't understand this one, Knockaert has been poor all season, doesn't score, doesn't assist, argues with the officials constantly and once a game cuts in from the right to blaze a shot with his left foot into row Z. Surely the point of taking players on loan is to have a good look at what they can do for the team and only sign them if they impress. So what if he made a block at Forest, does that mean he gets a 3 year contract? He offers next to nothing going forward, surely we can do better!

We have spend a hell of a lot for a Championship side on Bobby, Cav and Knockhaert and they really haven't contributed that much. Wish him the best of luck in our famous white shirt but I'm not convinced he has shown enough to merit a permanent transfer.

If he hasn't got that knowledge of his teammates by now,          it's been almost a season!
If I was Mitro or Reed this signing would not encourage me to stay.

Nice to see that you now appear to rate Harrison Reed, rather than previously trying to discredit him using statistics.

It really amazes me how we sit 4th in the table with just a few games to go yet all most people on here can do is knock the squad that hashtag  got us to this point. I think we have done bloody well and I will be delighted to see most of the players here next season what ever league we play in

Damn right.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

There is no contradiction between rating a players individual performances based on what you subjectively see during the games and also state facts about the teams performances while said player is on the pitch. It is perfectly possible to hold more than one thought in mind at the same time.

Harrison Reed could settle the issue by ending the season with a ten game winning streak.:wine:
