Even worse when at Plough Lane (which, admittedly, was a complete tip). Gates usually in the 5000 to 6000 range. Could get up to 15000...if Liverpool or Manchester United brought 10000 to town.

To be fair to AFC they are a much more unified club with a proper hardcore fanbase (4000) since they reformed than they were before. We only had 3000 hardy souls when we spent seasons languishing in the lower echelons of div 4 (old money) but we did have support who stopped going through the dismal slide down the leagues.
Their ground is in a crap location but there is no reason for them not to be comparable to say Brentford when they have a settled home and if they have success on the pitch. Brentford's rise did not come overnight, they have been on the up for around 10 years now.

Yep, they're still the Don's....and have a womble called Haydon as a mascot.... I'm not sure, but ive been told the AFC stands for...A Football Club

Was at that one, remember it was bucketing it down. Stadium empty because Wimbledon fans were on strike about the potential move to MK. Very weird atmosphere.
