your team against Man City...

after Monday's performance I think the team selection against Man City is a difficult one, every starting player from Monday's team made a case for them starting against City however, dropping Mitro and Tom was a gamble (that paid off) and I don't think either will miss-out starting on Saturday.

who would be in your starting 11?

I wouldn't start mitro. You could argue for the same team again, which most probably will, but for me, we are gonna be pinned back for most of the game and it has to be one of bobby cav or kamara upfront purely for their pace. It will be all about the counter attack for me and mitro is too out of form and far too slow for what's needed imo. Also Cairney can't start, reed needs to play and try and man mark debryne if that's even possible

I'm not quite convinced RLC made a bullet proof case for himself and I would like to see TC back (provided he is played in an advanced role).

I get where you are coming from, cairney has had a decent season so far when played further forwards. But for me the question is, are we gonna get more out of rlc if we give him more game time than we will cairney. And the answer has to be yes, roc has more potential and might be worth sticking with.

Got to have someone possibly 2 sitting in front of the back 4 and Reed does this best, toss up between Tom and RLC but on performances Tom should edge it , and as others say we need to counter so would go for BDR or or AK up front purely based on pace.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town.

Bronaldinho

Same side for me.

Good balance, worked well on the counter and got success.

Hard to validate any change really.

I'd think it'll be the same side.
RLC is one that I'd question over Cairney but pretty close and RLC is more athletic for quick breaks- it was his sprint halfway down the field that led to Robinson's chance that he should have done much better with. Counter attacking won't be easy as their back line is way faster than Evans/Fuchs.
Also, the danger here for us is Sterling and Foden cutting in and adding to Jesus (i guess).
A tricky game, but saying that, they drew with Leeds and Leicester put 5 past them!!!

Anything but the same starting 11 is a no brainer for me! Maybe an argument that TC should be considered instead of RLC who has not been that impressive (so far), certainly wouldn't start Mitro!

Same - DO NOT use Mitro (or Lemina)

Jules

Same side as Vs Leicester. Keep a winning team in place. I also think it would be best to set up as hard to break down and try and counter when we can.

I would keep anguissa and Reed together in the midfield, it's our most solid option. Wouldn't be against dropping RLC for Cairney or cav for mitro. Back 5 obviously the same.

Depends on what Scott thinks is the best way of disrupting Man City's defence.  I wouldn't be averse to starting Mitro, provided he's fit (I suspect he's not.)

Agree with just about all of this. It's all about playing on the counter and will be this way for much of the season and glad to see us adapting. Imagine what Roy could get out of our squad...

I'd go with same side.

But if Tete is fit (seems unlikely) I wonder if he'd be worth sticking in there.

I would put Tete on the bench and use the next 2 games to get him up to speed ahead of the Brighton game. He will be far more important in that game

Black, White and Fred

Same team as Leicester for both City and Liverpool. Could argue maybe Lemina for RLC to give us a little more defensive cover in midfield.

For me Mitro has to play instead of Cavaleiro despite his good game, let's not kid ourselves Man City are going to have most of the ball and we are going to be doing a lot of defending we need someone who gives us at least half a chance of holding the ball up and releasing the pressure and Mitro is much more likely to do that than Cavaleiro. Man City can also be vulnerable from set pieces and we now have a few players with height ( Mitro, Zambo, Anderson, Tosin) so I hope we work on deliveries this week, I will pull my hair out if our first corner we fail to beat the first man.

Your having a laugh, they would love one dimensional Mitro to start one less player to worry about,,,,,,,,Same team.
