Parker showed again that if they go up it will be defend and hope to nick a goal, of the teams that have gone up and survived they seem to be teams that have attacked. ill have a shilling the other 2 teams will finish above them

As a player I suppose you could admire the fact that he made so much of his limited ability, limited as in not blessed with pace and skill but a hard worker who used what he had to the max.
A decent top level player at his peak but should never have been close to an international call up and when he signed for us he was past his best and failed to lift the team which was supposed to be one of his assets.

Not his fault that he was on a long (for his age) contract and hugely disproportionate salary for a player who brought little to the team apart from his good name.
For all of this, I didn't dislike him but felt strongly it was a waste of money and he wasn't helping the team move forward both physically and metaphorically.

As head coach/ manager he brings his personality and hard work to the role and he understands the game, but only up to a point as he manages like he played.
Parker ball is very much about hard work and commitment (like any successful team|) but his style like his playing days is very limited, more Pullis but in designer gear than classy and innovative football.

In time I'm sure he will be found out, he may be a decent man in general but as its almost panto season I say his time at our club was more like the "Emperors new clothes" than "Prince Charming" and not worth the money!

Parker did a good job at Fulham as player and manager, and got us up first time of asking, and nearly kept us up  with a squad that wasn't Prem standard, beating Liverpool, Everton and Leicester away, and drawing at man U and Arsenal - both games cheated out of 3  points.

And now fans hate him - I don't get it.

I always thought Fulham fans were a decent, fair minded bunch.

I disagree with your assessment of last season. I will come on to that. I agree that he always gave 100% as a player - although past his best I thought he did a decent job for us and his experience will have been invaluable for the likes of Cairney, McDonald and Johnansen and others. He did a terrific job in the play-off final against Brentford- it wasn't too dissimilar to the job he did on us last night to be honest. That said, much of the football that I saw live that season was turgid - I just didn't enjoy watching us - anybody watching us last night will see a huge difference in approach.
Now onto last season - 9 goals at home all season - only 2 home wins - only 5 wins all seasons - relegated 11 points below 4th from bottom ( I'm going from memory here) pathetic performance in league cup at Brentford - even worse at home v Burnley - you have cherry picked the decent performances that showed what the squad was capable of. Our sorry demise in the last 10 games was pathetic- he should have been treated as he walked out from the cottage to the riverside with a loud chant of ' 9 goals all season - that's a f...ing disgrace etc etc....

Just to clarify - Burnley reference is the F A cup but would also apply to the league game. He got away lightly with no fans last season. Look at how we have treated past managers overseeing that campaign - he should have been sacked early on in the season - MAF would have pulled the trigger after Palace at home.

Whilst I'm on one - the crap about building a club that's why he went to Bournemouth- very small fan base; 11k capacity stadium; not fit for purpose trading ground at top level - third rate academy status - yes he will have control but come on - if they don't get back up this season they are on the slippery slope to no where. He has used the Fulham approach through the Khans as an excuse for his own failings here.
