A couple of the guys there on the day of filming commented on what a decent bloke Roy Keane is, very approachable.

Still can't come to terms with how anyone could buy or want a FFC/QPR half & half scarf though?

Steeeeeeeeeed

Just saw it on TV, yeah, good fun that, and nice to see they chose the best looking stadium in the UK for it

Wouldn't fancy sitting behind Micha Richards for a game though, would bring my earplugs. 😁

IMO Keane is a thug who deliberately ended a player's career and walked out on his country at a world cup. Decent bloke ? Don't think so.

I am surprised at how widespread betting adds are in football, I thought they were to be gradually withdrawn, am I wrong.

He's even better when he's asleep.

They're truly a cancer on modern football at this point.

Just the UK? Some may like those lego efficiency stadiums they build these days (or the toilet bowl lookalike just put up in N17) but for me those grounds that still maintain most of their charm from yesteryear beat them pants down. OK, so I might be joining Woolly in my age and thinking, but give me a ground like the Cottage any day over most of the others.

I would hasten to add that perhaps Sky had just that same thoughts when they wanted to add a large dollop of character to their advert, especially the clear view of the Cottage itself at the end.
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

A few years ago my wife was visiting St George's  Hospital when she saw a greetings card on sale with that view of the Putney end turnstiles and the Cottage behind. In front are Lowry type supporters turning up  for the game.
There is no artist's name or printers details but whoever painted/drew it completely captured the character of our ground as did that advert. The only pity was that it was for a betting company.
That card was framed and is now on the wall above my head at the moment.and it is a #hame that I have never seen it on sale anywhere else.

quality i remember them filming down Finley Street

Good to see our beloved ground featured in an advert but not so good to see the ad is one for gambling. I hope all those celebs who trouser the money for promoting betting are happy with themselves.
