Cav still a good option off the bench imo

in the prem?!?
He's not even making it on the bench in the championship
Safe to say well be upgrading and he'll be gone end of the year imo. (im assuming you mean Ivan Cavaliero and not Fabio)

MikeTheCubed

Fredericks appears to be 3rd choice right back at West Ham and getting very little game time. Would he come back to us on loan? Him & Robinson would probably be the fasted fullback pairing in the league.

He's been injured since a fairly serious muscle injury months ago so you can't really judge it from that, he's not even fit yet

He's fit again now, been on bench last couple of games and played last 20 mins v Man Unlast weekend. I'd take Fredericks back on loan definitely, but would he come and would W Ham let him join us? Prob not

Fredericks is reportedly on 70k a week. I'm a firm believer in never go back, very few players that return to old clubs do well

That response was about Cavaleiro not Fredericks FYI

No, but I can judge him on how poor he was for ages before that when fully fit. Never really delivered consistantly what we were hoping from him, we haven't suffered remotely from not having him playing this year... So would much rather buy a top new LW (which I think is a priority) and move Kebano to the bench unless he can suprise us and step up to the prem finally. We could probably still get a couple of mil for Cav and I'd rather take a punt on someone like Siriki Dembele if we need to replace our backup winger.

But owing to how average Kebano (and other players who are now key for us) looked under previous managers, you've got to give him a chance under Silva & Boa to show his worth as well. It's not that long ago that he won the Championship under a Portugese coach, looking very good in the progress.

I'm already calling for us to buy a new starting LW - not sure how much Cav fancies being 3rd choice but I suspect it'd be better to get some of the money we might be able to for him and fund more pressing issues. One of em has to go and at this point I'd rather it was Cav. If for instance we could get 2 or 3 mil for him... That's how much Siriki is likely to go for as he's coming towards the end of his contract. It's a no brainer for me, Siriki 3 years younger and showing more promise and not coming off a bad injury

No way on God's green earth is Siriki Dembele better than Kebano.

I'm all for an upgrade on any player in the squad - who wouldn't be? - but Siriki Dembele sure aint it.

What's going on in here , are people not reading?
I was saying if we were looking for a replacement to our backup winger (CAV - who I'd be happy to sell and move on from) then I'd rather take a punt on someone with decent upside potential still (like Siriki who has looked good in a crap team and scored one less this half a season in a crap team, than Cav in our last promotion season)

At no point was I suggesting we sell Kebano for him

My bad, you went from saying we should sign a new LW and dropping to Kebano to the bench, to signing Dembele as a backup winger - 2 different things.

I more or less agree with your whole shipping out list though FWIW.

Much as I'd take this trade, and would love Lookman to get Boa Mortes tutalidge.... he's growing into his potential at Liecester according to my LCFC friends so probably wont be available imo

Fair play I can see now where the mixup was made.

For me its that list of outs (potentially including Anguissa if he's deemed surplus to requirements, although I wouldn't be unhappy if he stayed)
and use funds to buy in:

Top Priority:
Starting CB with quality akin to Anderson - this would be my big money buy
Starting LW in case Kebano can't make the step up again

Important:
Backup CB
high-quality LB/RB cover (Aina would be perfect imo)
high-quality RW to compete with Harry Wilson
Assuming we lose Anguissa- a strong ball winning CDM instead of a general CM

Bonus:
If by some miracle Areola was available I'd move heaven and earth and jump this to the top - otherwise Rodak probably deserves his shot now.
An exciting CAM in case Fab moves on or Cairney isn't quite at the races in the top flight again.

Looks like Calum Chambers has signed for villa

Can't blame him - Villa are clearly making efforts to establish themselves in the league. Shame though, as I'd have loved him back

We are one of many clubs looking at signing Jason Adigun from Charlton according to Football League World.
