The Intertoto might not exist anymore, but that doesn't matter. We'll still win it again.

Who reckons Liverpool will pay the 10+ million for Fab? It's the only way we sell, do people think they will? I actually don't know at the moment just asking

I think it's a reasonable fee for them to beat off competition from abroad, so honestly maybe. I can't see £15m, but £10-12m with a loan back would be decent business for us

I know there is the expiring contract but how much was Wilson, like 9m? Fab even at his current level isn't a terrible deal for 10m and he's likely to get a lot better
I was there, standing in the Putney end

I can't help but feel that it's our failure to bring in any funds for Anguissa this month that has buggered up our ability to recruit and at the same time made us more determined to dig our heels in with Liverpool to try and screw every last penny out of them.

We were never due to sell Anguissa this month though, he's on a 12 month loan with an option to buy

This message makes no sense

Somerset Fulham

How can a club in Italy not taking an option up six months before they need to, be failing of our club?

It was widely reported at the start of this month that he was going to sign for £10 million after other clubs including Palace showed an interest him, the fee never materialised hence why we are where you are now.

Marcel_Gecov

I'm certain that if it was reported in the papers then it must be true.

TK, get out of my club!

Whatever the outcome I'm delighted to see us standing firm against the Scousers. Having our pants pulled down once by them is once too many times

Bonkers

Denver Fulham

I would believe something like this is happening with Carvalho:

Liverpool, after sufficient tapping up, offer 5m + a loan back for the rest of the season. Fulham said "LOL, no" and countered with 12-15m. Liverpool said "We'll give you 9m plus a sell-on, but we take Fabio now," and Fulham are (to this point) refusing to authorize a deal without a loan back.

Despite what Liverpool fans think, they get significant value in doing this now and getting Carvalho rather than jousting with teams in the summer when more suitors could be in play. They need to pay for that privilege.

Wouldn't surprise me if a deals completes a deal this window if a loan back for 18months was included, would suit all parties involved

This is the very best we can hope for. We get him until the end of the season and a whole year in the prem. He gets guaranteed first team football and Liverpool can see what he's like in a premier league team. If we manage to stay up then we get the premier league money to get a replacement. The lad never wanted to stay which is a real shame but we need to be clever in what we do now. Leaves a big hole if we can't have him next season.

I think loans for longer than 12months were banned from thevstart of this season, so most likely a 6m loan.
Not sure they are, say that as spurs just loaned some guy from Juventus for 18 months

It is a bit funny to read their fansites go on about how £5 million is a great deal because we might not get that much from the arbitration. How tin pot do they think Fulham is?
