Earlier today while listening to Talk Sport, I heard George's wife Daphne speak on behalf of George about the passing of the Queen.

Wonderful words from Daphne but she mentioned that George is not well.

I know he has had long standing health issues and I do hope so very much that the club are aware and helping in whatever way they can.

Best wishes to George, our own hero.

filham

Best wishes George.
A real Fulham hero who is quiet and does not seek publicity in spite of that huge 1966 success with England.

Top Fulham legend, wish you well George.

Thinking of you George. I had the pleasure of meeting him and have a signed shirt. A great man

All thoughts and good wishes for your return to health George.
Spectator on the day he did his knee in ( v Liverpool?) but also lucky enough to have lunch with him at Craven Cottage on the day Bryan Ruiz made his debut.
Always been a hero of mine, never forget how proud I felt when George made the World Cup final team.
Good luck George and Daphne we are all thinking of you.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Hello Sir, Was it not in that game that while George was being attended to for the injury, a Liverpool fan ran on the pitch and attacked Les Barrett?

George was in that first Fulham team that I watched regularly and began to support.

Can still see him in my mind's eye in that right back position, such a stylish player, one of a new breed of footballing full-backs, who could pass the ball, and attack up the wing, not just boot the ball up field, and recognised by Alf Ramsey as the sort of player he wanted for England - he didn't want any Prima -Donnas, just top team players, who would all contribute equally.

George came from a different era, of modest men, the types who would stand for ages signing the kids', of whom I was one, autographs: no airs and graces, but who certainly never received the fame or fortune that players get today. England's first, and still, only, World Cup winners who were hardly recognised by their country, and their clubs, it seems.

Even the great Bobby Moore ended his life in some penury, selling shirts out of the back of a van, and was once forced to pay admission to West Ham, the club he served so well, the story goes.

At least George has been recognised by Fulham and still has a role there and is now appreciated for his great contribution to the club and the game.

All the best George, hope your health improves.

I wish you good health George Cohen, a real genuine Fulham Legend in the true meaning of the word.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Great player for England and of course Fulham. But also a fantastic club ambassador.  Wishing you all the best for a full recovery George.
