NFR - Everton

Not a lot of love for Everton here.

Can I point out that the origins of Everton began with Methodist Church forming a football club with the aim of improving the lives of their congregation.  The club grew but were pushed out of their ground, Anfield, by the landlord who went on to form another club.

Far from being a social enterprise the purpose of the new club was mammon.  As there is no justice in the world the new club has since largely dominated Everton and developed an unpleasant, loutish, privilege claiming following.

This story may resonate with some on here.

Also the 'Z Cars' walkout by Everton is in fact based on a traditional Liverpool children's song that was collected in 1890 indicating it is far older than that.  It illustrates that Everton are rooted in the community unlike the newer club who stole their song from the American musical Carousel.

And if Everton get 12, how many hundreds would/should Man City get?

aw they won't get any , it's Man City . Been lots of talk about it but
No action . And some still think there's no corruption in our football.
It's rotten right through . Got no concrete proof but it's staring us in the face.

I stand to be corrected here, and perhaps I'm dreaming but I'm sure I read somewhere in the past that Everton is the only English club that has never been out of the top flight league from the beginning of records!

By the way, given that football is a sport, it isnt very sports like to get pleasure from another's woes, especially since it wont help or hinder our situation one way or the other.  I for one wont get any solace from Fulham avoiding relegation because of another club bowing out due to some off field activity.

If Everton have breached FFP they have tried to gain an unfair advantage over the rest of the teams that play to the rules. If they get found guilty they will have done to themselves and deserve whatever punishment they get and if that involves taking one of those relegation spots that could be occupied by us then fantastic.
