This is a really frustrating result.

Can't really say that M.U. didn't deserve a goal. But it's encouraging that we have been in the game against a top club. I think they will be on the top three all season.

Quite a poor game of football. But even though we were not very good, we probably still should have gotten something from an away game at Old Trafford. We've come quite a long way the last few years.

Poor play TC lost the ball and didnt work back to get it and then we didn't block the ball in, shame as some one said a little harsh

tc didnt lose the ball. it was loose and he could have made a better challenge for it and you know hes never gonna race back and regain possession.  but for him to lose out once and we get punished is harsh considering pereira probably lost poss4ession double figures.

That entire left side has been poor tonight. Iwobi and Jedi often looked completely switched off. The goal was a result of Iwobi trotting along the sidelines not looking to see that Casemeiro was right behind him. Jedi in the buildups tonight just seemed to have forgotten the ball and just leaves it for noone.

Frustrating to say the least. A lot of moments to create chances that we just overcomplicated so much. So many opportunities to have a hit, and opting to walk it in the box. Same with crosses. We can't afford that this season.

He was always going to be second to it, should have gone behind the man. The lack of effort to get it back afterwards diabolical

The players they have brought in are all very good and are not yet bedded in or up to speed. Be honest. They created at least four clear chances that they would have scored on most days. Where they finish remains speculation, but I think they are stronger than last season and there is more cohesion and team spirit about them. With the amount they have spent, anything less than top four will be a failure.

They have a couple of potentially good new defenders. That's it, except for competition for Höjlund, isn't it? Their key is midfield, and that still looks average at best (relatively speaking).

We could also have scored several goals tonight if we hadn't been incredibly sloppy. Don't think United looks like a top team on paper, and certainly not on the field based on today.

But it's all opinions.

On a positive note - I liked our positivity and intent, and thought the effort was commendable. We won't play many better teams and with that approach we
have nothing to fear. Two more good signings and I will be even more confident that we will have a good season.

But absolutely have to get better at taking our chances.
