Not great timing this with all to play for. Does feel as though Silva is going to be in demand and this link was inevitable.

Wonder whether there's substance to it or not.

You can never tell with these things. But Silva's building something at Fulham, and until the end of the season, where we know where we stand in the league and re Europe, then it's pointless speculating. Silva's being backed at the club and has a squad capable of more, and growing from here.

Would seem strange to jump ship, especially given the state of Spurs atm.

Iraola is apparently Levy's preference and least expensive to prize away? No surprise there ! £6m is Silva's clause. Style of play also has Iraola & Silva leading candidates plus premier league experience which Silva is seen as established.
With Spurs having tried so many different managers in the past it seems they no longer are looking at high profile or high maintenance managers as previous.

From a Fulham perspective I would imagine even without European or Cup exploits he will still have a healthy budget to work with come the summer as The Khans realise now how quick success can turn in to disaster from previous escapades? We shall see but my gut feeling is Marco is quietly very content with how things are going at Fulham.

Meant to add unless the goal posts have been moved financially for Marco?

The Little Dave

12 fulltime managers in 24 years under Levy and 4 in the last 7. I think Silva will take one look at the dumpster fire and pass.

Spurs at best is a sideways move the only move to a potentially better side than us is Newcastle but even there he'll be hamstrung financially and Eddie Howe has just earned another 12 months there.

I'm not sure who else would offer the autonomy he needs but also his skill set is not at that elite level an Arsenal or Liverpool would come in for him.

Whether Marco is in or out I don't think really matters for Fulham, but sometimes better the devil you know.

Hugh Janus

My money is on Silva getting the Arsenal job when they finally realise Arteta is useless. He clearly has a link there and would be a perfect fit.

FFC007

Khan should really be getting his wallet out now and work hell for leather on a new deal for him, with the promise of big bucks in the summer and he has a direct influence on who he wants and the calibre he feels we need to progress.

Surely our PPS position is very solid now, with the transfer fees on the dross we bought ages ago finally out the way, plus another chunk of Palhinha and Mitro money incoming.

Anything less than that could jeopardise our trajectory going forward.

Why would anyone currently want the Spurs job, this is lazy clickbait journalism at its best

So many top managers took the job at that cess pit and all have failed miserably

The place is cursed as is Manchester Utd.

I don't understand why these two teams are even in  a conversation anymore,

HobGoblin

That headline is meant to try to destabilise two sides that the media don't want in Europe.

SuffolkWhite

Iraola and Silva might be up there for Spurs but they could also go for Thomas Frank imo.

"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

Jules

Lazy journalism only based on the fact we just played and beat Spurs and their fans are not happy.

Whether right or wrong it seems that Franks style of football is not akin to the top teams allegedly?

sunburywhite

I stand to be proven wrong but I think Marco has a project at Fulham that he wants to see through certainly for a fw more years

He turned down Arab money a year or two ago so why should he move to a nut house
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Somerset Fulham

Sadly, I wouldn't believe that a single word that once brilliant publication now spouts.

Not one.

Super Mick

Why would he take a backwards move?

copthornemike

Any season in which a club like Fulham do well will inevitably find the manager linked with one of the larger clubs.
I suspect Silva could well end up in a top overseas club, probably Spain.
