Just an absolutely sensational goal. Beautifully flicks a sliced ball over Van Dijk, takes it into the space with his thigh, and then a superb finish.

Some of the goals he has scored for us are just out of this world.  Surprised there isn't more hype around him. Really hope we can tie him down to a new contract before any vultures start circling.

He was class today, as he has been for games here and there, lots of short appearances off the bench, and one or two little runs of games.

The thing is he was IMO pretty anonymous against Palace, and usually fails to hold down his place in the starting XI for than a game or two when given the opportunity.

Let's not forget he was given the manager's full confidence and a good run as first choice striker coming into this season, and he ultimately ended up losing that place (deservedly) to Jiminez. That's why I don't think there are any vultures circling, to be honest.

He'll be given the same opportunity at the start of next season, I reckon. He's not really young any more (in football terms) so needs to take it, if he's ever going to be a first choice PL striker.

Certainly a samba boys goal,he's getting better every season under Marco.

Glad you agree he was brilliant today, and keen to avoid this thread going the way the last one did. For me I think it's time to move on from him being replaced by Jimenez after three starting games this season. They've both been brilliant.

Feel he's scoring some of the most unexpected and classy goals I've seen from a Fulham player, and the list is just growing. He has the odd brainfart as with that sitter on Tuesday, but his goal return lately has been really impressive.

Angus, a polite request to not lead this thread down this road. You can do the research on starting stats if you would like. Would be great to just celebrate a player who is in fine form. He's scored in his last three PL appearances, and four in last five. Scoring in his last two starts.

Yeah I know he doesn't technically qualify because of low minutes but still fun

Muniz - 114
Haaland - 118
Wood - 130

Pretty much a goal a game in the FA cup as well.

He's quality. Yes he needs to do it consistently when starting (as he did last season for a few months) but him not being talked about more is crazy. I'm glad however. Must sign him up to a longer contract this summer.

Missed a sitter last Tuesday but all strikers do. Haaland can be shocking for it. Generally he is clinical.

He got given the shirt start of the season and like it affected him mentally. He was poor pre season and first 3 or 4 games and he was rightly dropped. Been outstanding since however.

Needs to take his chance end of this/next season as honestly could be immense. Definitely looks like he has matured a bit mentally and that for me has always been his biggest issue as he has all the tools. Tough game last week against 3 big centre halves who hadn't conceded in 6 games away and still nearly created a goal out of nothing like today with some brilliant play. My Palace mate felt he had caused them havoc first half.

When on it he's a bit like Mitro in that centre halves prob dread playing him. When off it and his confidence goes he is the opposite so just needs to mentally always be on it and we have a brilliant player as many of us have said since last season.

To note as well that is now 18 goals from our strikers with 7 games remaining having shared the minutes. Keep up the run rate and reached the magical 20 goal mark so many asked for comfortably. Solanke played 37 lots of 90 minutes last year, scored 19 goals and went for £64 million. Muniz/Raul are 1 goal off equalling that in 31 games of playing time. They have both been an absolute steal and surely now have proven that any issues/failures this year have not been down to the striker position. Really hope we go for another you g promising striker this summer as third choice ready for when Raul moves on next year.

Can't believe we've got THIS Sess back. Three is actually his highest PL goal tally in a season. Looks like the player we all saw in the Championship but with added strength and maturity. Absolutely clinical. Silva's management has been impressive.

Certainly we're all hoping the consistency as a starter can continue. He's maturing into a high quality player and getting notably stronger too. Shrugging off VVD like that was great to see and indeed, today a day and moment to be savoured and just enjoyed.

He's scored against City, Liverpool (2) Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Tottenham and Wolves. Not bad going.
Hope he gets off to a better start next year and hits the ground running as think he's a confidence player just on the cusp of becoming something special here. He was decent early this year in his starts IMO , his all round play was contributing to some good play, but he just wasn't hitting the net and Raul hit form and so deserved to start, but Muniz seems to thrive on competition and credit to both our strikers for never complaining and duking it out with each other for the spot.

Still work to do but on his day he's such a joy to watch.

He always had that nack of being quiet for long periods without being necessarily bad...and then being ruthlessly clinical and in the right positions to finish with 1 direct move or run in behind. It's a talent and on a free, well, the transfers already paid off for the feel good factor alone. His goal against Tottenham will be a long term memory for me, so happy for him after all his struggles since departin. The pointing to the badge then and today, the feeling he's back where he belongs....it's all part of what footballs really about away from all the money.

Somerset Fulham

The lad is a total enigma and I still really don't know what to make of him.

He is definitely a decent PL centre forward and at quite a young age too and he should be good enough for years to come, but there is that feeling that there could possibly be so much more.

Lets hope he realises that bit.

When starting in the league this season he has a goal every 264 minutes, which is what he needs to change

Duly noted. Across a season that would yield around 12 goals per season.

Too nicer guy needs to be
more Ruthless with the opposition Defenders got all aspects of the game to be a top striker.

That would make him top or tied top scorer in 14/17 PL seasons.

I can't imagine what people would think of McBride if he was playing these days.

Their CBs were allowed to manhandle him all game and he still performed well. Hope he can hit another 'purple patch'  ::wink::

Chi_FFC

Over his PL career he averages a goal every 179 minutes when starting.
