Yep and every 155 mins in total. Considering he's not on pens that's pretty impressive.

Mitro two seasons ago got 10 non penalty goals (every 201 mins for context).

Duly noted. Across a season that would yield around 12 goals per season.

That would make him top or tied top scorer in 14/17 PL seasons.

I can't imagine what people would think of McBride if he was playing these days.

I'd hope that he'd get nowhere near our starting XI, unless we want to be rooted to the bottom half like we were back then. Top bloke, but even at the time I can remember non-Fulham mates being incredulous that he was our best striker. There's no logical reason for those players/seasons to be benchmarks for our performance now.

That's a bit of an unduly negative take on a Fulham hero isn't it? Did you get a letter from the taxman this morning?

He is a hero, I loved McBride, just like I loved Micky Adams and Simon Morgan, but I don't think any of them could do the business where we are now, aspiring for Europe.

How long does his contract run? Feels like we need to sign him up on a 5-6 year contract.

Given how pretty much every big club bar City needs / wants a top quality 9 we definitely should be locking him in...

Ends next summer with club having an option to renew, so essentially in two seasons.

He's probably on low money for a PL striker as he joined in Championship as an unproven player from Brazil.

I heard he was on £7k a week!! Peanuts for the prem of course.

Although tempting to let next year run and then just extend with the option for a year and hope he signs then that would be a huge mistake in my opinion. With two years left this summer if we offer him a significant rise he is way more likely to take it. With one year left he could let his contract run down and get a huge deal when going on a free.

Also if he starts next year and bangs in a tonne of goals he'll only want more. At the mo wouldn't be surprised if he signed a 5 year deal for say £50k a week.

Have to sort it this summer in my opinion even if it costs salary in the short term. If we lose him in 2 years on a free it would be an absolute disaster if he continues to progress as he has.

WindyCity

Terrific goal by Rodrigo!!  Totally owned the 'great' VVD!!!  Great touch and control moving forward and blasting away on goal and into the goal.

What I liked about the play was how VVD was whining and crying to the ref that Muniz had somehow interfered or bullied him out of the way!!  What a crybaby!!  After watching some of the replays, Muniz clearly out muscled, out positioned, out played the so-called great one.  Couldn't be happier for Muniz and for the team with this result.

WindyCity

I'd also like to add that Muniz and his goals scored per minutes played is very very impressive indeed!  I had seen a post earlier the other day that said he was getting a bit older for a player in that position.  Had to scratch my head on that one.  He's only 23, soon to be 24 in May.  Still quite young with prime years ahead of him.  Could be our longer term answer for the striker position?

Cobh Fulham Fan

Cant remember who said it, but one of the commentators on Match of the Day last night was so impressed with his goal and how he brown the ball down from over Van Dyke, that he should have also been given the assist along with the goal. I thought that was class!

Pair of idiots
He's not been starting because we also have Raul FFS that's quite obvious then they proceed to say he'd be a good signing for Man Utd.
utter disrespect
Washed up pundits with nothing creative to say per usual

Don't disagree with anything you say there, but think the attention on him is gonna grow after such a good goal against Liverpool and this is an example of it.

HV71

I am paraphrasing here but to basically say he would be a great stop gap - until they find something better is such a condescending , arrogant and entitled sentiment - it made my blood boil!

Top Premier League Era Fulham Strikers (by goals):

1. Mitrovic - 111 goals in 206 appearances (a goal every 149 mins)

2. Louis Saha - 63 goals in 141 appearances (a goals every 167 mins)

3. Barry Hayles - 57 goals in 215 appearances (a goal every 233 mins)

4. Brian McBride - 40 goals in 154 appearances (a goal every 250 mins)

5. Bobby Zamora - 37 goals in 134 appearances (a goal every 270 mins)

6. Andy Johnson - 27 goals in 117 appearances (a goal every 297 mins)

7. Rodrigo Muniz - 26 goals in 96 appearances (a goal every 154 mins)

8. Collins John - 23 goals in 108 appearances (a goal every 199 mins)

9. Dimitar Berbatov - 20 goals in 54 appearances (a goal every 234 mins)

10. Hugo Rodallega - 20 goals in 88 appearances (a goal every 274 mins)

This list excludes players who never played for us in the prem (eg Ross McCormack) and/or players who are not primarily a centre forward (eg Clint Dempsey).

As you can see, Rodrigo has already entered an elite group for us and, at the rate he's scoring, he could rise further up this list very quickly...
Only Mitro and Saha are in the same league as Muniz for goals-per-min.

I really hope that Rodrigo starts getting more respect on here. He's a great goal scorer and seems like a top guy too.

P.S. Raul should also make the top ten too by the end of the season. He's currently 1 goal off (with 19 total) and he's been scoring a goal every 198 mins for us.

I had a huge laugh when VVD did that, almost spit out my coffee.  He said to the ref, "You realize who we are, right?" and the ref walked away.  :cheesy:

I have a tendency to ignore those 2... They always suck at the teat of the Top 6 anyways...

Yes I was thinking this list should exclude Championship goals which muddy the waters. I also don't really understand why Dempsey would be excluded; he may not have been a classic no.9 but he was our main goal threat for 2-3 seasons.
