My old boss was born in Leeds and so got me into the beautiful game when we all had to pick teams during the 2006 World Cup for an office pool. It was a blast learning the game from him and I would take the guys to the closest thing at the time (the LA Galaxy in the MLS) in my RV.
He ranted on and on about his Leeds (I think they were relegated at the time - and also where I learned of the joys of relegation and all about the tiers), so I decided to follow a team in England.
My Granddad was 'christened' at St Pauls in Hammersmith and FFC had 3 Americans at the time, McBride/Bocanegra/Dempsey, so naturally I fell in love, COYW!
When people ask me "why Fulham" I say my Great-granddad, Granddad and Dad were all Fulham fans and now my son and Grandson - six generations! Of course it's a story... my Great-Granddad was KIA in WWI and my Granddad was adopted by an American soldier and brought to America, where my Dad was born. None of those 3 generations played any sports to my knowledge and the only team my Dad follows is the Dodgers (of course that made me an Angels fan, lol).
My Dad now "knows" of FFC because of me and the two of us made our one and only trip to Craven Cottage in 2015 for his 80th birthday present. Myself, my son and now my grandson are indeed Fulham fans through and through. And this year when we beat Brentford and Gentlemen Jim made a crack about Hounslow, my son said "wait, Brentford is in Hounslow?" I said "yeah, I guess so". He added, "wasn't Grandpa Marshall born in Hounslow, shouldn't we be Bees fans?"
"You want to be a Bees fan?" "Nahhh, dodged that bullet didn't we!?!"

Leeds fan here, don't go in for all the "in peace" malarky. I'm admin of a small but friendly LUFC fans forum. I'm trying to visit up coming games opposition fans forums to see what the feeling is the upcoming game.

We don't have a great record when we play in London indeed its diabolical (look at our last game there)

Anyway as usual good luck for the season ahead and if anyone wants to discuss the game with sensible LUFC fans you're welcome over at lufcchat.co.uk. Just go easy on us if we carry on the sh*$e London results.

Sadly won't be there. I did visit The cottage way back in 98 but can't for the life of me remember who you were playing but a certain Kevin Keegan was managing yous.

I'm in N.I and at that time there where about 10 of us who supported various teams and used to travel over for games (before Sky started changing the dates) so we did trips all over the country. One fella was a Fulham fan hence this game. Great days out they were.

I'll settle for a point there and and a 17th place finish this season.
