Was pretty much exactly the same as Josh's, only difference was it was given

Tosin getting turned inside out again

Hugh Janus

Tosin is definitely a player that think he is a lot better than he actually is. I loved watching Josh sit him down. I can't imagine he will be there starting centre half for much longer.

KentFulham

Tosin generally played well, his distribution was very good and started many of the Chelsea drives forward

Benny

Need to be ready next week for those long throws from bwentford.......can see us being caught out with that

Funny but the blokes who are good at it do not look especially strong. I like the way that home teams turn it into a ritual to undermine their opponents. Wish we had one.

St Eve

We have never really had long throw in specialists. The last one I can remember was Roger Cross and that was centuries ago!

we did have Rob Scott from the Mickey Adams team.

Down by the river

Jim Langley had an awesome long throw for those of you who can remember.

Who remembers Jim's massive throw to the far post (v Everton 1962) and Stan Brown slipping in to put us in the lead which we held on to.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

True - I think it's more down to technique than pure strength.

Shredhead

And I felt slightly glad that it was Carvalho who equalised.
I hope our set piece coach is as effective as Brentford 's.

I hope Fabio has now got it out of his system.

True it's generally the skinny wirey blokes

I think it might have been Sess who launched two good quality long throws into Leed's penalty area late in the game?
Some here suggesting Berge should be stood down for the starting XI, but Brentford's long throws are a reason to continue starting him.

I think both Berge and Lukic should definitely start this game. Too much at stake with it being a derby and all. Berge and Lukic starting together means defensive stability. I'd risk with winger choices. Instead of Iwobi and Wilson who usually work hard defensively, go with Adama/Chukwueze and Kevin.

That being said, we looked good in the second half against Brentford away last season (won that half 2-0) and Berge was subbed off at half time, leaving Lukic as the lone defensive midfielder, so I do think it's possible to play with just Lukic against a team like Brentford, as I don't think they are particularly strong in the midfield.

hovewhite

Hopefully strength in our midfield plus the understanding of the system will be the difference.think I would start Kevin.Dont think Marco will though.

In all the years I have followed Fulham the long throw is a tactic we have never employed. Can't recall the name but we had a player who could find the penalty spot for a previous club, but we never used it.

Super Mick

Long throw ins are for inferior clubs.
