Even better than I expected.
His anticipation and timing are spot on. A mystery why he has not been a regular. AND he has never dropped a clanger as far as I can recall.
I am confident in not tempting fate.
I agree. Cuenca has been class again. He has been consistent in his few appearances. He should have started more league games for us.

Yeh huge credit to the guy, should by all means be super rusty but he's stepped in admirably again . Hope he can force bassey to have to fight for his place back when he returns.

Class block on the cross, getting his leg out on the slide.

Also jimenez has made two sliding tackles, one of which outstanding, fun to see he has that in his locker

Simunch

8:15pm is a really late for a kick-off for our supporters.

The Man City v Brentford match is 87 mins plus already!

Yeh he definitely looks like his legs are a bit slower or less agile on the ball than he once was, but great challenges and always puts himself about.  Would like to see JKA minutes tonight

Harrison reed off the bench for lukic though ? Yikes , wouldn't have minded a look at Ridgeon but hey, will be rooting for Harrison

Weird substitution, unless Lukic is injured. I don't think Lukic made a single foul after getting booked.

Commentators on ITV said groin injury sadly

Could be just the game for some of Reed's energy

Heroics? Let's not go overboard. He conceded a fairly soft goal in regular time and made two saves in penalties (one of which was not terribly difficult).
Against Wycombe Wanderers FFS!

You still have to save a penalty whoever takes it. If you want to be critical then blame Marco for not picking a team capable of beating Wycombe in 90 minutes.

It probably stopped him from being too aggressive.

Exactly it's a penalty. Which Really can go either way regardless of opposition. Not like he conceded multiple goals and was the main reason we found ourselves in that shootout

Do Find it rather strange how insistent some people are on going out their way to talk down or discredit our own player even when he did well. To what purpose? Guy saved 3 pens which ultimately kept us in the cup.

Anyway back to the game
