He's played well, a couple ineffectual moments like any player has but put through Robinson very well for the exceptional ball he put into rauls head and played well defensively as well as winning a penalty. Has generally been involved well albeit yes the 1 on 1 he knocked it slightly to his side rather than straight on which sadly saw the chance pass by, but plenty positives from him that half.

Surprised by some of the commentary re Raul. Not saying he's been great but even before the penalty I thought he'd been decent. Certainly not worth singling out for criticism.

Forest will have to press forward at some point which should leave space behind them. I'm not sure that we have the pace to exploit them though. I just hope we don't defend deeper and deeper and invite them on. We tend to panic at the back when other teams throw bodies into the box.

I know xG isn't everything, but we've had more xG even without the penalty (0.41-0.32 without the penalty, 1.20-0.32 with it) which also supports the view that we were better than them. And again, their best chances came after silly mistakes, like the one Robinson made early in the half.

I agree. He's done well imo. Not sure how serious his injury is, and he did gradually start to drop off since that incident. I do hope we'll sub him some time in the second half.

Thought he was alright today putting himself about well, and livelier than other games, would still hope we finally let him see the bench from 65mins . In a dream world we get 2 early goals and Marco finally deems it ok to let JKA tie his shoelaces

ESR deserves some praise, I think he's been immense. Has a touch of real class about him.

I do get the criticism, he's been very quiet for several matches now. It's not about his effort, I just think he's physically knackered. Good for 30 mins but not the full 90.

Forest a decent enough side and game a long way from over but so far we're doing well

Exactly. Forest isn't the same type of team as e.g. Burnley or Wolves. They have excellent players who finished in European places last season. They've started the season poorly but since Dyche took over they've been in pretty good form. Not an easy opponent by any means.

I do get the criticism, he's been very quiet for several matches now. It's not about his effort, I just think he's physically knackered. Good for 30 mins but not the full 90.

I get some of the criticism re his recent performances (and questions about his ability to go 90), but I don't get the criticism for the 45 minutes he's played so far today.

He's been our best player for a pretty significant period of time now.
