Just dictating play from deep. He's dropping deep often to get ball from keeper or cbs, turning to face what's ahead of him. Less so about making long balls than just a passing comment about dictating the offence from a deep central position

Interesting, I have never heard the term QB used in football. I guess you mean a bit like an old fashioned sweeper?
