One thing for certain, he wont be able to take throw ins for a while

REALLY!  so 11 goals in 36 matches is not proving himself 2024-25 season despite injuries ?

We need to talk about Ricardo Pepi

I can't hear what it says - working - what's the summary?

should PSV keep him or sell him for a profit as, the author, thinks he'll continue to get better and could be worth a lot more in the future

I like Muniz and he has scored a decent number of goals but there are still some that think he's better off the bench. He hasn't featured much this season, but last season he started as first choice and wasn't great and lost his place to Raul after a few games. Until he's been our starting 9 for a full season or the lion's share, how can anyone argue he's a proven starter and anyone else is supporting cast.

As effective as he has sometimes been I think this is a fair comment. We all want to see him leading the line for several seasons to come but he hasn't yet quite got the starting berth completely nailed down.

SkySports is reporting that the deal is stalled.  The gulf between what each club wants is around 800K.

Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

PSV struggling to find a replacement striker despite knowing we've wanted Pepi wall window? Nay bother - sign JKA And send him on loan to PSV  :slap:
Failing that I gather Nketiah is about to be sat behind a £50m striker down the road. Tell em to give palace a call 😅

Quote from: AJW48361 on January 29, 2026, 08:50:16 AMQuestion how would Pepi compare in your opinion with Brian McBride?

I describe McBride as a hard-nosed, fearless player with a fantastic work ethic.  He was not the fastest, but he read the play well and had a great ability to anticipate where to be, which made him a consistent goalscorer.  He was also really good at aerials.

I'll never forget the 2006 WC where McBride got a bloody nose from an elbow.  Blood pouring down his face, he goes off and gets cleaned up, comes back, and keeps going.

Pepi, I have not seen as much of.  What I have seen is that he is high-energy and fairly clinical in his finishing.  He seems like a smart player who links up well with others.  Like Raul, he tends to play deep with a lot of the field in front of him, allowing him to create chances before getting into the box.
