Would love spurs to go down but they won't. West Ham most likely and Forest cannot get a result at moment.

I wouldn't want to give WHU anything at anytime.

Diop was brilliant today and gets my vote.  With two strikers up top there was a job to be done, he got the better striker to mark and he bossed it.

Berge looked great for sure, but Spurs midfield was extraordinarily bad, individually and structurally.  Palhinha, great in midfield but they put him in a three at the back to help the hapless Dragusin out.  Simons, most effective through the middle, so they put him wide left. Gallagher, bought for extravagant money as a centre mid, see that right touch line, go stick to it son.  What the heck was Igor Tenpole Tudor thinking? Spurs walked out like eleven men going to the gallows and are in a lot of trouble based on that performance.

Back to us, Oscar Bobb is the footballer we are willing Josh King to become.  Iwobi made hay with the space, as did Cairney who followed him.  Jiminez clever as usual, ESR got into great positions.  Harry Wilson, when he makes that body shape for the first, you know it's going in, he's so reliably skillful.

We played well and deserved the win.

Agree 100%, Berge just makes things tick over but often overlooked because he just keeps things simple.

Wait til Kevin returns, could be a big end to the season.

We can't afford to be on the beach towards the end of the season...

We are safe now, but that shouldn't detract from what could happen.

European footie could mean Silva stays.

Great team effort  ::wine::
With Lukic out and TC not starting, Berge and Iwobi had to step up to the plate.
And boy, did they!

Bobb and Raul very lively up front and Diop tremendous covering the back. Not only that telescopic tackle but heading danger away at every corner.

Might have to give Anderson a rest as I think Diop is more of a guarantee defending corners and stopping opposition players getting physical with Leno !

Quote from: Deeping_white on March 01, 2026, 05:38:27 PMThought it was an interesting parallel of our hero JP up against Berge and Berge looked miles better on the day tbh. The system Spurs play makes poor Palhinha somewhat redundant, I often wonder what a midfield with a younger TC and prime Palhinha could've been capable of with them offsetting each others shortcomings.

Only slight concern for me is that we keep conceding via LB at the moment. Love Sess but unfortunately its the second week running where he's not covered himself in glory for the goal. Real shame because I thought our left side build up play between he, ESR & Bobb was superb at times.

Also think it's worth a convo of Diop v Andersen because for some reason I just feel safer with Diop at CB as he's more mobile. I know we lose the passing ability but from a pure "who would you prefer at CB to defend" question I think I'd have to go with Diop

Leno major fault for the goal, got lost like a Sunday league goalie leaving the goal wide open. Hr really is becoming sub par

Berge for me. Did an excellent job of protecting the back line. Faultless display.

This.  I was preparing to applaud (or bemoan) what looked a certain (attempted) save by Leno when out of nowhere came Diop to make the best tackle I've seen for many a year.

Quote from: bog on March 01, 2026, 04:28:09 PMLovely to do the double over them. Back in the 60's (19) I only recall one win at the Cottage, 4-1 with Johnny Key scoring 2. Well played Fulham! Diop my MotM.   :claping20hands:  ::scarf::
That was my first ever Fulham match. I was 11 years old. Most exciting thing I'd ever seen in my young life.

Diop was an absolute rock today! I went for Wilson because of his 2 g/a but otherwise it would've been Diop. No one put a foot wrong today (except for maybe Leno who couldn't save the only shot on target).

Burntheashes

Diop for me today.

Bobb, Wilson and Berge played really well as usual.

General

Thought Iwobi had a particularly good game today and it somewhat eclipsed me paying attention to Diop unfortunately, so he got my vote

It's odd in such an attacking performance to go for a defender but it has to be Diop. Honorable mentions to ESR,Bobb and Iwobi. Can't imagine why Tel was only a sub for Spurs, he looked something else when he came on.

Not often we are 2 up at half time but we could and should have won 4-0.

And the drive back to Ludlow was quick tonight. Listened to 606 and lots of grumbling Spurs fans.

F(f)CUK

You could make the case for almost the whole team getting MoTM. However has to be Iwobi as he ran the show.

Ludlow Richard

Not all that relevant to this thread but it was notable how frequently Leno kicked long today. Meant that Bobb in particular was able to pick up flicks from Jiminez and put pressure on Spurs' dreadful back line.

According to Silva, Diop was still chilling at home (and not the team hotel) when he got a late call-up to fill in for Andersen last night.

One more reason to give him MoM.

What do you mean the team hotel? You mean the starting XI stays at the stadium's hotel the night before?
