I've not been convinced by Leno for a few seasons now. I like him, but I don't think he's cutting it tbh.

Personally id really like to see us going for Carl Rushworth. He's been the best keeper in the Championship this season, on loan from Brighton (but in the final year of contract, so should be available) and is young/british. He's the perfect candidate to start challenging Leno's starting spot next season, with the intention of being first choice the season after.

Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

As some forum members know, I've never really warmed up to Leno.  I will acknowledge that his first season in a FFC shirt was probably his best.  I recall even voting him motm several times during his first season.  That said, I also felt in that first FFC season he looked rather dodgy in many games.  These last couple of seasons he's been bang mediocre, if not sub mediocre.  Just not confident in him keeping a clean sheet.  For a mid table club, we should have many more clean sheets than we do.  The goals conceded recently v Spurs and WHU were just terrible, and obviously cost us ground in the table.  I would have no problem with FFC looking for keeper upgrade next season.  If he stays with club, so be it, but might be nice to bring in a backup that could challenge.

Jimmy Hill

Better the devil you know. He will be playing for us next season.

He is still more than good enough.  The knee jerks on this forum from some after an admittedlty bad night are mental, Bassey could have also sorted that problem out but didn't..

That said, there would be no harm with a rejig in the keeping department. We can start to look at that sort of improvement in the squad now.

If Lecomte isn't good enough to seriously challenge Leno (and it doesn't appear that he is), then perhaps we need to look at replacing Lecomte with somebody younger and seriously up and coming to take over and remain between the sticks for the best part of a decade moving forward.

Somebody mentioned Trafford, I can't imagine that Ramsdale staying put for long in a club no better than us and he needs to find a home. I am sure there are others.

That is the route that I would take anyway.

Please no. Serial loser. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Fulham.

Fair! Fair!  :slap: I was just trying to think of names, and think if he was actually settled with a path to number one it could work out.

But totally hear you pal!
