I hope so, otherwise the opposition supporters might catch on to our cunning plan.

Hi all,

You may have seen on X but if not, the club have said due to safety concerns (mainly segregation), the trial can't go ahead.

I personally think it sums up the issues in the Putney end that it isn't considered safe for Fulham fans to be in P4 chanting for their team, but there we are.

Thanks to those who had kind comments on the idea regardless!

That's completely outrageous.

Let people take that supposed risk themselves and ensure good stewarding surely? Ridiculous

I agree One Hundred per cent, the club are currently on a different planet if that's their decision.

I'd be interested to know the ins and outs of this decision.

Looking on the sensible side, perhaps they have prevented 50 fans from getting a good kicking from a load of Millwall fans next year.

This is a farce. The club is so alienated from the fans.

They are also objectively wrong - for as long as I can remember, Man City have housed the away fans right next to the core home fan group, with few reported issues.

Is there anything stopping us from going ahead with it ourselves anyway?

Thats fair enough, how about encouraging 50 supporters in the Hammersmith End to start singing, that makes much more sense to me.

What form of encouragement do you have in mind?  It would need one or two 'choirmasters'to getting going and perhaps a drummer.

Quote from: JoeS on April 20, 2026, 08:30:03 PMHi all, I helped push for this. Appreciate a lot aren't keen but the atmosphere is flat every game at CC so the thought behind it was this could encourage noise in "quieter" areas of the ground. Negative comments understood but the thought behind it came from a good place in trying to improve things  ::scarf::
hopefully a song that doesn't involve Chelsea, I doubt it

A drummer is a great idea. Have heard this at other smaller grounds like The Vitality (Dean Court) and Selhurst Park and it does create an atmosphere with more chants and singing.

Whitestone

Please don't encourage a drummer. They are so bloody annoying. Palace, Bournemouth and Portsmouth spring to mind.

I second, third and fourth this!

Southcoastffc

Years ago we were away at Portsmouth. They stuffed us, I think the eventual score was a 5 4 loss. At half time a Fulham lady of 'advanced years' complained to a pompey steward that a drummer amongst our crowd was 'too noisy". Perhaps things haven't changed?

Somerset Fulham

It's fine to think that this is a rubbish idea but there is no need to be arseholes toward somebody who is at least trying to do something to improve the experience.

I assume that the Hammy End Toilets will be designated the 'humming area'  ::smile::
