Scored 7 in 16 last season, had a bit of a weird season this year where he missed quite a lot of chances and only ended up scoring 5 goals. He did have 10 assists though, which is quite impressive for a striker in 32 matches. He's quite strong and good at hold-up and link-up play. If Marco stays I think he fits the profile of what Marco wants from a striker. That being said, I hope that if there's truth to these rumours, that we'd bring him as a backup option,as I think it would be risky to rely on him completely. He might work well in our system, but there's absolutely no guarantees.

Quote from: JimmyConway on May 18, 2026, 09:22:06 AMWatched a fair bit of Udinese game last night against Cremonese in which Vardy scored winner. Wanted to see what Atta was like who we were strongly linked with earlier this season. Not to sure what to make of his performance as was not the greatest of games but he certainly has that feel of a player that glides across the pitch and seems very confident for a young player. Both teams set up 3-5-2 so cancelled one another out for majority of game. Atta though seemed to be playing either on the left then centrally and at times as just off the front. Not sure if he is that versatile and did not have any real influence on the game. I kind of sensed a tiny swagger to his game. Whether we are still interested?

I wouldn't read too much into that game - Udinese are mid-table and lacked any motivation, Cremonese still had a chance to stay up provided they won.

Atta has been very impressive in the last few matches before this, 2 goals and a MoM award v Lazio in a 3-3 draw that Udinese really ought to have won. He was voted Rising Serie A star for April.
The Frenchman exudes class.

Can Fulham convince him to sign? That's a different story. I think a move within Serie A next season or after is more likely, probably to a club like Juve or Roma. Though I've heard Everton are interested, so if Tony Khan's serious about bringing him in, there's no time for hesitation.

Cheers Chris of the bits I saw I did think there looked a player in there when he had the ball at his feet let alone the way he glided across the pitch at times. Certainly seems there is plenty of potential.

I know it will be an unpopular opinion, as most fans (including me) would prefer some younger players, but I'd love it if we signed him. He's one of my favourite players to watch. Whenever I've seen him play for Hungary he's outshined Szoboszlai completely too. Can play on either wing, excellent dribbling skills and ball control. Yes please. Not sure about the credibility of the rumour though.

So he must be Harry's replacement. If we get him then he'll be on the left with Kevin and Chuk, Bobb on the right.

If the rumour is accurate, then I guess so. He usually plays on the left for Hungary, so he'd for sure be comfortable there.

We don't need three on the left , especially when we've already got Sessegnon who can play on the left.

We need players that know where the goal is. Sallai has 3 goals in 56 games for Gala.

I don't want Iwobi on the left. He's far too slow to be a winger. However, he did have his best season as a winger so what do I know.

Chuk is ordinarily and RW far more than he is LW. In his career he's played RW 241 times compared to 24 on the left (8 of which was this season at fulham)...
He's just been playing there in Kevins absence. His natural position is RW and it's no coincidence I think that his form fell off by playing out of position (as well as following the passing of his Mother)
Bobb is the same - a RW more than an LW (although he actually likes to play inside more than hugging the byline apparently)

So when we sign a winger, it's likely to be an LW you'd think. If Harry departs then indeed I'd like to see an LW specialist brought on given we already have Iwobi who is a jack of all trades

Thats because he was usually playing right-back for them.

I don't follow or watch much football or footballers from around the world so almost all the names that pop up on places like this mean nothing to me.

I had no idea who the likes of Tete, Bassey or Palhinha were but they have all impressed me but it seems to me that the players I did know of (ESR,Berge,Bobb) have all been disappointing for one reason or another.

That probably means nothing but my biggest hope is the 3 or 4 players we need to recruit are in the building when pre season training starts.
