I think we need 2 strikers (assuming Kusi and Raul go which I think is likely)

2 wingers (assuming Wilson and Chuku go which I think is likely)

1 CM (Reed upgrade)

Think these 5 would be good. Optional Lukic upgrade too I'd like but not compulsory. I think Tete and Castagne are good enough FB options and Diop is the Anderson upgrade

If we get a new manager, I'm guessing we'll be lucky to get two of those. Though I think a couple of strikers are the only thing we *need*. If we stick with a 4-2-3-1 maybe we need another CM. But I think our team is decently set up for a 4-3-3 at this point.

Eta: Thats assuming we don't activate Chukwueze's clause. Which I think we'd be silly not to.

I don't think our defence is badly lacking if we can keep our players fit and performing, so I'd de-prioritise that.

If we sort the midfield it changes things big time.

Also think if JKA shows any sort of promise we should activate his clause. Think £9 million is probably worth the risk, especially with how strikers are selling these days.

TC's cameos show us what we miss most from midfield. Not just the goal threat but the defence splitting through balls and the ability to control the midfield. After a striker I regard replacement TC as the next highest priority.

Agreed, and frankly our biggest issue/weakness in defense is at GK, but I'm not sure the club will be looking to spend on that position this summer given Leno's contract.

Berge upgrade essential and a top striker. That'll be all the money gone unless we can source players like Lukic, Tete and Robinson at bargain prices or sell to buy. Few to sell unless we can rob someone out of £22m for Berge, £20m for Muniz and, possibly, Robinson for £15m. No-one will want Anderson or Leno because of their exorbitant wages.

If Marco does go and the Club actually back the new Gaffer might be quite a squad overhaul and hopefully done early enough for pre-season

Raul (likely off to Wolves)
JKA (I'd sign - bright spark and talented, will develop)
Chuk (50/50 on this)

Expiring end of NEXT season:
Bassey - Expires unless we use 1 year option. Needs new longer deal though
Sessegnon - Would extend
Lukic - Good player, but there's probably better out there. We do have option
Castagne - Would renew
Diop - Let go
Leno - We will need better end of next season
Reed - Time is up soon at top level
Lecomte - Not a bad backup, unless younger talent
Cairney - Legend, keep him until he wants to stop.

But when you look at this and next summer, it paints quite a big rebuild that we have. Not just this summer, but next.

With FFP and SCR coming in > We really have a crazy task ahead of us. This summer is a big job, but we probably need 4-5 permanent signings, and another 3-4 the next year, if not more.  Which means you need a big sale to help offset this.

We need a strategy to keep building players that have resell value.

Where we need strengthening:
- A keeper to challenge Leno
- Another starting CB (Andersen, Diop and Cuenca could be all improved on)
- A dynamic CM that can break the lines (maybe 2)
- Another LW if Iwobi plays centrally
- A hard working number 10 (We miss Andreas massively)
- 2 strikers
