Southampton's Tonda Eckhert would be the best replacement of Silva

I believe the Southampton boss would make a perfect manager for Fulham next season.

Tonda Eckert took the Saints to the play-offs and they looked the best team to get promoted until the Football League harshly banned them for spying.

We all recall how his team defeated Fulham in the FA Cup and then disposed of Arsenal in the following fixture. If he can achieve that with a championship squad, what could he do with a superior Premiership team?

I felt Silva was running out of ideas, constantly playing the hopeless Smith-Rowe in the position Tom Cairney should have been in, evidence proven in the last match of this season with Cairney's THUNDERBOLT to dismantle Newcastle. I would also have played both Jiminez and Muniz rather than a lightweight support forward like Josh King.

Cairney's lack of games gave Steve Clarke the excuse to omit one of Scotland's most talented players and at this stage he will never get another chance.

But perhaps Eckert will see the ability of TC more than Silva appreciated and Fulham benefit from his inclusion next season.

PR-wise he would be the worst choice and he's likely to get a ban from the FA

For someone who is forever raging about cheating players and biased refs it's ironic that you want a known cheat as our next manager.

A good manager choice but we cant be a team reliant on OAPs

All Tonda wants is a grand a week and a good pair of Naval Binoculars and camouflage overalls.

At least he was an honest "cheat". He could have claimed his spy was just a birdwatcher. I would rather compliment his thorough preparation, Silva never seemed to research his next opponent.

I think Nick isn't really a Fulham supporter and just comes on here to try and get a rise out of people sadly

Southampton's Chinese chairman would never let Eckert go, for starters.

But secondly, and more importantly, you have missed the point about this manager. He's now 'damaged goods.' The man responsible for the Middlesbrough Spy-gate that cost Saints a shot at getting into the PL. By cheating.

Bielsa did the same when he was at Leeds and when he was found out, he was never the same again. And no other club wanted him in the UK.

Fulham won't touch Eckhart with a barge pole.

Total over reaction. He broke the rules and will pay the penalty. Fair enough. I am certain matters  far worse than this occur daily in every walk of life and never get mentioned.

He didn't kill anyone.
