I think fans are making way too much about his PK's.  Past season, only scored a couple of goals from open play.  It is time to move on.  Thank you to Jimenez for his time with FFC, a good servant and player.  But I'm sorry, it's time for FFC to move on and taking his age, salary, and open play usefulness all into account, I feel the team made the right decision to move him on.  Wish him well at Wolves, if that is in fact where he ends up.

I imagine TC's contract extension demanded perhaps one fifth or even one tenth of Raùl's?

There's also the element of Raùl being 35, got to play a lot under Silva. And Silva is gone. If I was in his shoes. in the sunset of my career, wanting to play games. knowing that a new manager might just consider me as third or even fourth choice as he sure is gonna make his mark on the squad, and everybody knows we will need strikers regardless of who comes in...

Why would he take a huge paycut and say yes to that, when clubs like Wolves or even his home club back in Mexico are begging him to come play for them and might even guarantee for him to be a starter?

Would you choose pay cut + uncertainty about you to ever play again on top of that?

I am pleased that Raul has gone... this is not because I do not like him, but more because it means that we have to bring in a new no.1 striker that can play for more than a season. He goes with my best wishes and I hope that he does well at Wolves.

you are obviously not up to speed. Tony explained he sent the farewell email to the pr department last Friday, part of it contained wishing him well at Wolves who had not released a statement yet on his signing for them. I have posted the farewell message above in my previous post.

Difference is, TC has been with the club for a decade and probably thinks of Fulham as "home", and he clearly understands his role and manages his expectations to play time, as he has gradually been getting less. And he was never on 100k.

As much as I hoped he would stay, the club would have been bonkers to offer him up to three years, which is apparently what he has at Wolves.

It was most likely nothing to do with us letting him go, but him wanting to leave.

The usual suspects will still try and find an angle to blame the club though, no doubt.

It'll be interesting to see how he copes with the physicality of the Championship, I doubt he'll get much protection from the refs.
