It is, but as you all could see, my posts per week have dropped by A LOT in the last few months.

Back to the topic, not sure I like that we are risking so much with the signings. If it works out, we're set for a long time. But we've already taken a risk getting an inexperienced manager in Arbeloa. I think it's fine to get some young players, but we should have signed some experienced players too.

Not often I agree with Serbian Lad but I share his concerns about our signings and manager. Silva made us hard to beat and picked and signed established premiership players who could play to a system. It may not have been pretty and didn't get us into Europe but year after year we stayed up.

A new inexperienced manager with young small players who have never played in this league before seems to me to be a huge risk. Time will tell and the team might gell and set the division alight. On the other hand it could all go pear shaped with a new manager by Christmas.

Agreed, glad we avoiding the old cast of prem players. We have loads of prem experience through thr team. To many are scared of the change and wanted the repeat of Silva over and over. Last third of season yearly being disappointing and not trying in cups

That 11 wouldn't be an unheard of team the last couple years, and we'd have 1 player on the pitch under 25...and even that player is a full international for Norway.

Obviously we WON'T do this, because we want to freshen and improve that team...and we're doing that aiming towards younger players with huge upside slipped into a core of experience to replace the weaker players in it.

I think potentially it's a transitional year but don't subscribe to this idea were somehow suddenly missing age or experience. 60% of our squad is over 25.

Also - we are looking to play ultra high-pressing, energetic football that requires our players to have serious stamina. People with the most stamina? Young players.

The attack is more weighted to youth than the defence, but we HAVE a core of experience, now the goal is to introduce youth knowing that's there. I don't mind a player 26-28 or whatever, but this isn't a moment where were remotely short of that and reality is the good ones that age cost alot of wages and SCR is being addressed

As a rule of thumb, I like to see experience and know-how at the back and youthful flair and exuberance going forward. And this is how we are shaping up for next season so I'm pleased with the profile of our signings even though I haven't seen enough of them to form an opinion as to whether they are of the right quality. I shall have to trust the judgment of AA and our scouts. Whether we change or stay the same, whether we buy experience or youth, whether we buy sooner for a bit more or later for a bit less, there will always be those who are concerned by the path we are taking. Depends I guess what you want from football, I want to be entertained, so the last 18 months of the previous manager, couldn't even be arsed to watch on TV, let alone go to the games, I'd rather win/lose 3-2 every week and be entertained.

Makes zero difference to me if we're PL.or League 2.

What I don't want is mid table obscurity which is what we had under him.

As I said, no interest in just being in PL,, have relegation battles, get into Europe, cup final, at least make it fun.

Really? I think the reality of a relegation struggle isn't going to be : "Oh how fantastic...this is why i come to football, for the thrill of another defeat..." At least for me, it isn't...I think losing is pretty bad whichever division you're in, and I too have followed Fulham in every division.....the only time a battle against relegation is enjoyable, and then only right at the end, is when the team pulls off a Great Escape against all the odds...which has happened twice in my time supporting the club - in 1966, and then in 2008.

Why would you want to re-visit?  If this player has strong desire to stay at RM why would/should FFC spend time money and energy chasing a loser?  Scratching my head.....   (We've seen this movie before, FFC going after players that simply are not realistic captures.)

I am not sure that of the four players who have left the general concencrus would be they were nailed on first team starters, it's likely to be fairly mixed, I do get we have lost a lot of experience but do think we need to make a change.
we may miss the hold up play of Raul but we have a different option now and I often felt sorry for Wilson who would often make a run into space but be ignored, I guess time will tell if that was down to the players or the tactics we were operating under?

Different strokes I guess.  In my FFC world, three points at the end of the day brings smile to my face, regardless whether "pretty" or not.  My desire is to see FFC in top flight, all the time, as much as possible.  I don't view mid table as being in a state of obscurity.  This is a tough league, some argue the best in the world.  I think it's great we face some of the best teams in the world through course of a given season.  Big accomplishment, in my view, for a smallish club like FFC to stay in this league.  I'll take mid table in the Prem all day long, because with it comes likely a few wins/draws against some of those top clubs.  Sure, there will be highs and lows, some frustrations at losing games/points when they were there for the taking, but that's all part of the program.  And yes, I'd like to see FFC do better than mid table, but mid table ain't so bad either......
