Agreed - that for once looked like we planned ahead, Silva's insistence on playing Wilson even when he was putting in 3/10 performances was more down to him than anything. The fact we paid such a large sum suggested he was always the starter long term, I'd imagine the other RW we sign will be a cheaper deal to offset the larger sums spent on other positions

Agree that one of Tete or Castagne would likely move on if we sign a RB. It's a tough call because on his day Tete is the better of the two but his injury record would be a concern. I think we all know he is unlikely to stay fit for the entire season so anyone we sign has to be good enough to start every week if Castagne leaves.

If the Hector Fort links are genuine, he looks to be a very capable attacking full back, but it's not clear what his defending is like. Tete is a superb defender but relatively limited in attack (albeit capable of a good cross), while Tim is sort of fine at both but doesn't excel at either.

Isn't Tete contracted until 2028? If so it feels as if Castagne is the smarter sale given his stock is up because of a strong end to last season, a starting spot with a World Cup quarter finalist, and his contract is up in a year.

So we've now spent £70m this summer and earned £15m-£20m from Diop and Lukic. I'd imagine we can make one more big signing (£30m-ish) and get one loan in. That big signing might would have to be a CB and the winger would be the loan. But then we're looking at getting in a RB so who knows?

Yeah think there will be a lot of positional rotations in game so it won't be as clear a 2 for each position situation as Silva. Could have several '10s' on the pitch at once maybe.

Looking at the squad does seem like we could use another wide specialist with a bit of pace.

Think it's closer to £65m, but we're being linked with Hector - £10m, a RCB, for £20m-£30m and a DM at the bare minimum in Pitarch (who could be £30m).. I think we'll also potentially need another winger as we've seen both Wilson and Chuk go and only brought in Palacios so far

I think this is a big and intentional rebuild period, so we could se spending go closer to £120-£140m this summer.

Don't forget, those are full fees, so they're spread out over a longer period, so if for instance we paid for all the deals over the lengths of their contracts, it'd be £65m over 5 years, so £13m a year.. that's not the exact figure, but it won't be all up front, but structured differently based on the paying schedules we've got with the selling clubs.

Also, if we reduce the way bill significantly - lets say Raul's contract was £100k a week and Gonzalo's is for instance £40k, Rauls contract would've been £5.2m, and Garcia's would've been £2.08m - so we've got more money in the bank to potentially play around with that way too.

Definitely agree that SCR rules allowing amortisation to spread it over the full contract term makes it so we can spend more. I'm just super surprised we're going so big, considering the last time we had a £100m+ summer, it was a disaster.

As to the salaries, we have moved on £21m/year worth of salaries (https://www.capology.com/club/fulham/salaries/2025-2026/). I'd imagine their replacements will be on half of what they were on, so that probably adds an extra £10m we can spend.

Agreed, we have a fair bit of room still for signings. The fees spread out over 5 years is good and wages being paid are less that the ones who left. All positives

Could be he's unhappy that his club is making it too hard for him to transfer to Fulham?  He might be playing down his value a bit to get out.

I'm fairly sure each player will be listed with an asset value for book-keeping purposes as it's the same as any other financial practice for fixed assets as players will have a determined purchase value, length of contract (expected life of said asset) & yearly depreciation as their contract and subsequent book value reduces. That probably doesn't have to be made publicly available as part of the yearly submissions as you could argue it falls under GDPR for personal identifiable information and will instead be rolled up into collective squad value, liabilities etc.; I would imagine if/when audits happen it's all stored somewhere on a player by player basis but that's purely for the auditors to see or the PL if the accuse Fulham of any wrongdoing.

Can't say for certain how it works in the UK but in the US we present very detailed information to our auditors that is then largely summarized in our audited reports.
