Not an awful point. Unlucky, really. Not much you can do about lucky reflections like that. Suppose ours was lucky too.

Affengruber was trying to do the right thing, just didn't work out. Leno played well.

Corners Fulham 3 Man U 13. We did really well on blocking shots at goal.

Not massively miffed about this result.

United had 29 shots, but only 6 on target (Fulham also had 6 on target)... Just seems like some rather wild 'hit and hope' shooting from United.
If anything that's the stat of a desperate United team.

I think we played really well in attack, really promising stuff. Unfortunately, these 3 things still stand out for me:

1. We concede far too many chances (and shots). Thats fine as long as we also score, but we dont.
2. Gonzalo, while an admirable hard worker, starts looking more and more like a Dirk Kuyt esque player in that he runs and runs but his on the ball skills arent sufficient.
3. We start getting tired around 75-80 min mark and the quality drops significantly.

Personally, Ive never been a fan of the old "we are in the lead, lets turn to a 541 and start just defending". Weve seen this before, we saw it at the world Cup this summer, and it never pans out the way you want it to. Its similar to when Parker tried getting us to score and instead of trying to figure out why we couldnt score, he simply just chucked in a couple of strikers.

However, a point against United is still a point and Ill take it.
