1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
It's been interesting. Disappointing to lose against West Ham but apart from that not too bad.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Very good win against Liverpool and a good draw against Spurs. Can't say I've been paying too much attention.
3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?
I thought Dempsey would go. Didn't think he would leave like he did. We got good money for Dembele, but we will miss him. Incredibly happy with Berbatov, Petric and Rodallega.
4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?
A good loan deal for Lukaku but apart from that I don't know what you've done.
5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?
Since your Roy era, you've been better than before.
6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?
Top half. 8th or 9th
7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?
Mid table. 10th to 13th
8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?
Schwarzer
Riether Hughes Hangeland Riise
Diarra Richardson
Duff Ruiz Rodallega
Berbatov

9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?
Lukaku is good, as is Long
10. And finally, score predictions?
2-1 Fulham

Here's to an enjoyable game and again, thank you for taking part.

Hi, always good to see a friendly opposition fan.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
Absolutely stunning on the first day, a tad unlucky to leave OT with no points and dreadful at Upton Park (where we always lose anyway), typical Fulham really, every emotion you could ask for already and neither the sun nor the cricket are gone yet.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Cracking win for you at Anfield, always good to see them lose. Your new boss seems to have hit the ground running. I'd guess your team still has the Hodgson work ethic so all in all, I think you're in for a good season. And, barring when you play us, I'll be happy to see that - always felt your team are the Fulham of Birmingham - play football, good history, hideous neighbours etc
3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?
The Dempsey saga was embarrassing, as well as being quite a surprise because he never came across as that type of guy. He's clearly been badly advised over the summer with regard to Liverpool, but on the bright side at least he didn't go there after their oh-what-a-shock, last-minute derisory bid. Dembele, while also being rather inevitable, is a huge hole and we're really going to miss him. The Berb, well what can you say, still can't quite believe we got him. Hugely looking forward to seeing him, though questions/fears remain about the supply to him.
4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?
To be brutally honest, other than the impressive Foster, who you may have had on loan already, I have no idea who you bought. Sorry, blame the Test matches...
5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?
As I said above, I have a high opinion of your club. Seem to be a very well organised side, but also a very well run operation off the pitch. You're not yoyo anymore in my view.
6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?
Extreme highs, desperate lows, a scalp or two at home, some miserable rubbish away. And goals, at both ends.
7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?
To continue to build your side as a permanent fixture in the Prem. Mid-table obscurity is an insult in some quarters, can't think why.
8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?
Schwarzer; Riise, Hughes, Hangeland, Riether; Diarra, Duff, Richardson (maybe, I'd prefer Kacaniklic), Ruiz; Petric and Berbatov.
9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?
I like Shane Long, but with all due respect I wouldn't go so far as to say we feared him. Lukaka I have read a lot about, not seem too much of him though. It's more the way your side will be set out I think, from the Hodgson days, with everyone knowing where they are supposed to be/what they are supposed to be doing, that will be the thing we need to overcome
10. And finally, score predictions?
3-1 to Fulham. Berb 2, Petric 1

All the best for the remainder of the season.

Hello,

My answers are as follow's;

1. Good win at Norwich, expected loss at utd and awful performance against west ham.... I was hoping for 4 points after our first 3 games but 3 is not the end of the world.
2. You look really decent this season, I did fear for you in all honesty at the start of the season, but you are playing good football and are really organised.
3. Berbatov is a class signing, I think petric will be equally as good for us. The sale of Dempsey was expected, but losing Dembele was a real blow. Giving the timing of the deal we were unable to replace him and as we lost Murphy to Blackburn, we now lack a midfielder in the middle to pull the strings.
4.Lukaku is a great signing, and i think he will be a real asset for you this season. I think your biggest positive was that you didn't lose any key players.
5. I think Hodgson made you very organised, and hard to beat... exactly what he did with us, you play good football. Off the pitch my views are not as strong of your club, as many fulham fans saw the nasty side of football at the hawthorns after a 1-0 cup victory some years back.
6. I think we are going to struggle until Jan, and will probably end the season fairly strong.... i think 11th for us this season, which would be a dissapointment not to break into the top 10
7.You could break into the top 10 this season, you have already had some really tricky games and picked up 7 points....
8. The team Jol will play is not going to be the team I would pick, But I think he will play schwarzer, riise, hangeland, hughes, reither, diarra, richardson, duff,Ruiz, rodallega, berbatov
9.Gera returning to Craven cottage is a scary prospect, and lukaku will cause us problems if he plays.
10. I think it will be a score draw.... 2 -2 Berbatov, Hangeland - Brunt / Long

Enter the Frei

1) meh, shocker against West Ham, great performance against Norwich decent game against United. I think we'll learn a lot more about our side this year in our next few games. But I believe we've already seen the two ends of the spectrum in terms of our performances

2) You've been quality so far. To get 7 points from Spuds, Liverpool and a very strong looking Everton is great. I love the look of you going forward and hope Zolly keeps scoring a few more of those screamers (hopefully not this weekend though)

3) We messed up in the transfer window. To lose Mousa and Smurph were big losses. But losing squad players like Etuhu, Gecov and others in the same position without bringing in a single replacement is a disaster. I see us being alright without Dempsey but Mousa was very very important to us and the sort of player thats worth the ticket price alone. I got over Dempsey because it was the right time to sell, but one more year of watching Mousa develop would of been amazing.

On the incomings Berbatov looks very exciting, definitely hasn't lost his touch and he's always been a player I greatly admired so its nice to have one of your favourite footballers join you. Dejegah also looks a very solid player but overall the transfer window could cost us badly this year.

4) Lukaku impressed me more for you in a cameo against Liverpool than in any game he played for Chelsea. Decent signing and put that together with your other strikers and you look very dangerous. Claudio Yacob has already shown himself to be an astute free transfer but I think you've got a lot to look forward to in Rosenborg and El Ghannassay. I'll say it now that I've been very impressed with your club and what they've done this transfer window.

5) Your very much a second team of mine always used to provide me entertainment and the Hodgson success at West Brom has just improved that. Add a love of Zolly and your always a set of fans I'll get on with.

As for you as a yoyo club, I'm 100% sure you won't have any relegation worries this year.

6) Standard mid table performance for us but maybe looking over our shoulders a little bit more than usual, we're one of the most inconsistent teams in the division so I expect us to batter some teams and get battered when we just don't show up but other than that anywhere between 8th and 14th depending on how we play.

7) Top half finish. A very solid defence still with Hodgsons organisation and you look like scoring a lot of goals. A tilt at the europa league places doesn't look of the cards either.

8)Schwarzer, Riise, Hughes, Hangeland, Riether, Sidwell, Diarra, Duff, Kaca (Richardson maybe?) Ruiz( if not fit Petric) Berbatov.

9) No player I particularly fear unless I met Lukaku or Mulumbu down a dark alley. I wouldn't like Long or Odemwingie to be on form though, both have the pace to really get behind our back line.

10) We've got a great record against you at home:

2-0 Duff and Berba on his home debut would keep me happy but I could see you nabbing another 1-1 draw.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far? -- A very mixed bag -- Brazil in our match against Norwich, gutty determined bulldogs in our match at Old Trafford, and 11 zombies at Wet Spam.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? -- You guys have come out fast and played good football. It's nice to see, actually.

3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc? -- As an American, I'm not allowed to discuss Dempsey on this site without incurring immediate attacks. Dembele will be nigh on impossible to replace and Murphy -- his center mid partner last season -- equally impossible. We've lost four key members of our midfield since last season. A bit unnerving. As for Bertatov, he looks very exciting so far. Riether and Petric also look good.

4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business? You have a good one in Lukaku. I wish we'd have beaten you to him.

5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative? Like us, you're a smallish club with a rich history. I think the "yo-yo club" is a good appelation, since in the past you've been too good for the Championship but not quite good enough to solidify your presence in the Prem. A few good signings and some stability in management may be all you need.

6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season? Considering the significant loss of goals and midfield stability, I'll be thrilled with 14th.

7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season? I think you'll be with us, fighting for somewhere between 8th and 17th. You're much too good to be in the relegation race, but not ready to play with the Evertons and Newcastles of the league.

8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out? Much depends on how the internationals go. I was pleased so see Brian Ruiz called up by Costa Rica, because I thought that it meant that he was fit again, but he didn't play in a critical World Cup qualifier against Mexico, so we may not have him. I'd like to see Berbatov and Petric in a 4-2-2, but I don't expect to.

9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side? Well there's our Zoltan the Magnificent. Odemwinge is a potential game breaker, and then there's Lukaku.

10. And finally, score predictions? If we get an early goal, 1-1. If you get an early goal, 2-2. Seriously, we should win this, but your current form is a bit frighenting.

Hope your travelers get a good reception at the Cottage.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?

I was happy until the West Ham game, we didn't seem to want it enough but apart from that we seem to have got off to a good start.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?

You have surprised me, I thought you may have struggled this season but looking at your performances you seem to be a solid team who is ready for anyone this season.

3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?

We have defiantly lost more than we have gained but we do have some cash in our pocket which I HOPE will be used in January for a central midfielder.

4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?

The only transfer I know what you have done is Lukaku, he is a tank and is fairly quick. He will be a threat for most teams this season.

5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?

Before the season started I was quite negative towards West Brom as I thought you guys wouldn't do so good this season but watching your first two games my opinion has changed and you may do better than everyone has expected this season.

6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?

I would love to say Europa League spot but I really can't see that happening so I would be really happy if we finish 10th or above.

7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?

I am expecting West Brom to beat one of the big teams (City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea) and to try and fight for mid-table.

8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?

I think it's really hard to say right now but I would say.

Schwarzer; Riise, Hughes, Hangeland, Riether; Sidwell, Diarra; Dejagah, Kaca, Ruiz; Berbatov.
[/b]
9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?

Lukaku.

10. And finally, score predictions?

2-1, I would love to keep a clean-sheet but I think Lukaku will cause too many problems for this to happen.

Burt

Hi Liam,

Welcome to the board.

1. Our start to the season... Solid. Thought we would beat Norwich and not get anything from Old Trafford or Upton Park. So as expected. I guess the disappointing thing was we didn't turn up for the West Ham game.

2. Your start to the season... Great. Picked up points from difficult opponents, and played with style too.

3. Our transfers... Losing Dembele was no surprise, he always said we were a stepping stone. Dempsey not too surprising either, but I suspect he will regret it, and look upon his years at the Cottage as the highlight of his career. As a selling club we always lose good talent, but seem to get by with the odd astute signing and players breaking in from the reserves to the first team and this season is no exception. Berba, Riether and Petric are good additions.

4. Your transfers... Some astute business too. Lukaku will impress.

5. Perceptions of WBA... Well ran off the pitch, organized on it, sufficient quality to stay up quite comfortably. Like us, a community-based club that values tradition.

6. Expectations for Fulham this season... 9th or 10th. I feel we have a good cup run in us, but have felt that for the last 10 years, so what do I know??

7. Expectations for WBA this season... Good gaffer, good players, more than enough quality to stay up quite comfortably.

8. Jol's team... Schwartz, Riise, Hangerland, Hughes, Riether, Diarra, Richardson, Duff, Ruiz, Petra and Berbatov.

9. Players to fear from WBA... Odemwinge... He's a class act.

10. Prediction... Not the 6-1 from a few years ago!! A goal in it, in our favour. 2-1, 3 points in the bag, thank you.

All the best, hope the traveling baggies have a good time.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?

We've ranged from a very good performance vs Norwich to a poor first half vs Manchester United and a dreadful defensive performance against West Ham. The International break has come at a good time for us.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?

I have been very impressed and I thoroughly hope your form continues (apart from the two games at the Cottage or the Hawthornes). You've played really well and Romelu Lukaku will be a welcome addition to your squad for the season, Steve Clarke has done very well in the window, especially to keep hold of Jonas Olsson.

3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?

Clint Dempsey leaving doesn't bother me, because he is replaceable. Moussa Dembele is outstanding, and will become a better player than Luka Modric, I really do believe that. We are yet to see a replacement for Dembele but there is no reason why Kieran Richardson can't do a decent job at least until January. Dimitar Berbatov has always been one of my favourite forwards. His nonchalent style has always been criticised but that's because this country likes a worker, Berbatov scores goals and creates chances, a superb striker whom I can't believe is even wearing a Fulham shirt.

4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?

Tidy would be the word to explain it. Lukaku is a great talent, even if for just a season, same goes for El Ghanassy and Popov. Ben Foster is solid a lot of the time and is often good more than bad, prone to a mistake but still extremely young for a goalkeeper. Claudio Yacob is a centrally midfielder I rate very highly and Markus Rosenborg is a forward with great pedigree. You also didn't lose any key players.

5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?

I am very positive about West Brom, you showed respect to Roy Hodgson like the Liverpool fans simply lacked. Also with Zoltan Gera being a hero in our Europa League run, there is a nice link there and Hodgson's style, as he did for us, has solidifyed you a spot in the Premier League and from the first three games of the season, it seems Steve Clarke will carry that on.

6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?

At the moment, staying safe is the main objective, especially after losing Dembele, we could get top 10 as we have 3 out of the 4 last seasons but I do think our away form NEEDS to improve for us to develop any further.

7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?

Solidity. Steve Clarke is a good defensive coach and I can't see you leaking many goals, it's down to your attack and midfield to chip in. I hope you secure a mid table spot.

8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?

This is a question many of us have been asking, I personally feel it will be:

Schwarzer
Riether Hughes Hangeland Riise
Diarra Richardson
Duff Ruiz Kacaniklic
Berbatov

9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?

Lukaku and Shane Long's pace behind the defensive line is quite scary. Yousseff Mulumbu is a superb midfielder and hopefully for us, Mahamadou Diarra wins the midfield battle.

10. And finally, score predictions?

A hard fought 2-1 win to Fulham, the break may have disrupted your run of form and the Cottage will be bouncing after the arrival of a certain Dimitar Berbatov.

Hi, as a moderator on Westbrom.com we run a weekly view from the opposition where I ask a few questions and you reply with your answers. The answers are then written into an article which I shall post in this topic once it's finished. I was just wondering whether you would be kind enough to fill in the questions for me.

I must also apologise to the admin of the site if this in the wrong section or has broken any rules.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
Disappointing to say the least. Losing our 2 best players then going on to put on a terrible performance against West Ham, all in the same week!
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Very impressive, I think Steve Clarke will do well for you this season. 3-0 against a poor Liverpool side was a good result for you but I think nicking a point at Spurs was even better.
3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?
Dempsey was inevitable but I was very disappointed to lose both Dempsey and Dembélé to the same club and I wasn't happy with the whole "Liverpool tapping up Dempsey". However, I am very happy with our new strike force. Petric, Rodallega AND Berbatov? Pinch me I'm dreaming!
4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?
I'm not too familiar with all your dealings but Lukaku is an excellent signing, even if he's only on loan. I also think it's good business that you managed to keep a hold of Odemwingie.
5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?
Definitely positive. Very stable club with some good players.
6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?
Top-half finish would be nice. Would like a cup run but now we're out of the League Cup we'd have to rely on a good FA Cup run...
7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?
Comfortable mid-table finish, 12th or 13th.
8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?
Schwarzer, Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise, Duff, Richardson, Diarra, Rodallega, Ruiz, Petric.
9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?
Shane Long. He's not big but he's a crafty player that can pounce on a loose ball though I think Hangeland will keep him quiet. Otherwise, Lukaku. A player hungry for goals and game time.
10. And finally, score predictions?
2-0 to the Whites. Going for Ruiz and Berbatov as goal scorers

Here's to an enjoyable game and again, thank you for taking part.

Welcome mate

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?

Really good start against Norwich, good fight up at Man Utd which was encouraging and then absolutely bossed at WHU, which I'm still angry about.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?

Great start for you boys, something which I didn't really expect, but you look very organised and very consistent.

3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?

Signing Berba & Petric has been fantastic, very pleased with that. So gutted to see Dembele go.... I'd grown tired of the Dempsey saga so relieved to see him go.

4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?

Lukaku is a massive plus for you, good signing. The most important thing for you is that you haven't lost any core players.

5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?

I've always liked WBA, very well run club with a real good feel to it. I like the Hawthorns and can't wait to come up for the away game.

6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?

8-10th. Some massive results and some which leave us feeling frustrated and wondering what on earth happened.

7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?

9th-11th. Really credible results and beating teams in and around you.

8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?

Shwarz, Reither, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Diarra, Sidders; Kaca, Ruiz, Duff; Berbatov

9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?

Mulumbu, Lukaku, Long, Brunt. I also really like Dorrans, quality player.

10. And finally, score predictions?

2-1 Whites, just simply because we are at home.
@sonikkicks on Twitter.

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far?
Mixed bag, Norwich and Man U games gave me hope, but the departures, cup exit and West Ham game dashed that momentum.  International break come at a bad time to be honest.

2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far?
Impressive and I dare say it is the reason you're here.  Good wins against both scouse teams, plus an away draw against Spurs, what's not to like.

3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc?
Dembele is the biggest blow, we could have built a team around him, having let Murphy go in the summer.  Berbatov is a good signing and adds to the others brought in. Our middle is weak, but hopefully Ruiz will start to play regularly and fill this void.

4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business?
Lukaku is a cracking addition, not sure who else joined your ranks, but it looks like things are gelling together well.

5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative?
Hard to form an opinion due to the yo-yo nature of your premiership tenure.  You are my favourite midlands club, having spent 3 years at Aston Uni and seeing what the other two attract.

6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season?
I had hoped for a good cup run, but will settle for a season of change. Hopefully Jol will get his kind of team together and players who want to play for him.

7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season?
Building on your good start and probably finishing above us this year.  Hopefully home and away thrashings of Villa too.

8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out?
Shwarzer, Reither, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Diarra, Sidwell; Kaca, Ruiz, Duff; Berbatov.

9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side?
Shane Long, Brunt and Lukaku.

10. And finally, score predictions?
3-1, always fancy us at home.

Mr_Moon

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far? A good start by all means. The West Ham game shouldn't be dwelled upon too much, those days happen. Scoring two at Old Trafford was particularly pleasing, even if they did dominate and deserve to win by more, and Norwich...Well, that was fantastic.
2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? Very surprising actually as I thought West Brom would struggle given that you have a new manager who is new to that specific role. We all saw what happened to Connor at Wolves ;)
3. What are your thoughts on your summer transfer business. The sales of Dempsey/Dembele, the signings of Berbatov etc? Relieved that Dempsey's situation has been concluded as it had dragged on far too long. Upset Dembele left because the idea of him and Diarra in midfield together was rather pleasing. Petric has started well. Just concerned that we lack squad depth in central midfield and up front now. Ideally would have also signed a pacey striker.
4. What are your thoughts on our summer transfer business? Don't know much about Yacob and El Ghanassay but Foster seems an ok buy. Rosenborg and Popov as backup again, isn't bad but if they are forced into the team through injury then I wouldn't be best pleased if I was in your shoes. Lukaku, well I'm rather jealous that you've landed him. Hope Simon Cox does well at Forest as I've always had high hopes for him.
5. West Brom have been seen as a yo-yo club recently, what are your opinions on WBA as a club? Positive or negative? I see West Brom as rather like Fulham, probably not helped by the one and only Roy Hodgson. A friendly and likeable club, despite the boing boing thing. I also like that you seem fairly well run financially. Of course a club could put all their eggs in one basket and sign a load of marquee players (QPR), but there's the chance it could all go tits up.
6. What are you expecting from Fulham this season? Midtable and another transitional year now we've lost some key assets.
7. What are you expecting from West Brom for the remainder of the season? As I said, pre-season I expected you to struggle but all the signs are suggesting the opposite. Midtable too.
8. Team Martin Jol is most likely to put out? Schwarzer, Riise, Hangeland, Hughes, Reither, Diarra, Sidwell, Kacaniklic, Duff, Petric, Berbatov
9. Are there any players you fear the most in our side? Not particularly. You're just difficult unit to play against sometimes. Olsson always impresses me.
10. And finally, score predictions? 1-1
