Adel Taarabt?

We seem to be in advanced talks with Taarabt. I am quite optimistic about signing him, he is a creative midfielder, with great ball control and is a finisher. His problems is that he has never been fully disciplined in his career, Tottenham didn't care, and he ruled over QPR. At Fulham he will get the guidance he needs, and we could hopefully get the best out of him. Next to Boateng, he will be a fine player for us, and more importantly, a young player.

I hope that's not true. I've only seen him have 1 decent game in the premier league, against us!!

Link please?

Variety of papers, and unfortunately twitter. Can't be 100% sure that it is true, but, Jol mentioned possibly signing 2 players before the tour, Sako and Taarabt perhaps.

He's young, still got a lot to learn. He will be fully disciplined at FFC, and he will want to play PL football.

He's played the last 2 seasons in the premier & hardly set the world on fire. He doesn't strike me as a 'Jol type' of player either. Can't see this one happening to be honest & won't be disappointed if it doesn't.

Baider

Yes.

Think he's the exact type of player we are looking for, someone who has both the confidence and ability to take on a player and have a shot, something we lack massively and I can see a club like us the perfect move for him

With seeing us linked with players like Lee Cattermole, I would welcome Taarabt at the cottage

@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

I hope not, the qpr fans I know don't even rate him. One season wonder was there term
Every day is a Fulham day

A Yes for me....low risk....potentially big reward....he has the raw talent...

what would this mean for Ruiz?

I think Taarabt would be perfect playing off Berbatov, bit more extra pace to beat a man and will stay up front if needed with berba feeding him.

Ruiz, Taarabt and Berbatov surely can't play in the same team though.

You're probably right.

We don't need any discipline problems, mate.

The Equalizer

Can we put in a cheeky bid for Zamora and Johnson too? I hear that they're an electric forward combo!

Sound like anyone???? I almost thought we were discussing a different player for a minute.

Forever Fulham

Come on, Brown, you're not serious!  He gets subbed out and leaves while the game is still going on...  That's not a player worthy of a Fulham shirt.  He's a chucklehead.  There are plenty of talented attack-minded players out there, but you need them to care about the team, the system, and playing within that system.  He seems like a player who just wants to do his thing and to hell with everyone else.  Me, me, me, me, me.

Its a risk, I know. It will be a very split opinion if we do get him. We'll see what the future beholds, but, if we do get him, I will be more than willing to give him a chance, and hopefully, Mr Jol will as well.

Taarabt? Really? *let's take the ball, run and miss once more* Taarabt? No thanks!
