im more worried about what we will do this year to be fair

Why?
Other than Jazz Richards, pretty much everyone we have been linked with would be a decent acquisition.

dependant on what we lose though. lets say we get that striker in we was linked with, but then we lose ross. or say longregan isnt steks replacement but actually betts. and what if cairney turns out to be a replacement fot lvc.are they still good deals? hopefully it wont happen, but we know we have it in us to sell anyone. and as such an element of fear will remain with me untill window slams shut. but so far the signings are positive
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

Christensen is coming back off after a long time out injured. I doubt anyone would for him this summer. If we shift Ruiz and Mitroglou, I don't we will have to worry about losing anyone else. Its usually a good sign when we're buying players off rival teams in our division.

Craven Mad

Yes, I am still angry about the Fotheringham signing. It typifies the insane governance of our club at that time. Picking up a mid-thirties, overweight, underperforming (in L1), unwanted player, who's only significant stat is the number of clubs who've ditched him within a year or so and has a reputation for trouble-making.

I have no ill-feeling towards Mark himself, but that signing was easily the worst we've made in my lifetime (no, he wasn't expensive, but it never made sense to bring him here for any money - whereas most of our other crap signings [Mitrog included] made some modicum of sense on paper at least and only disappointed after).

I was told some of the detail of Fotheringham's deal by a good source last season. If it helps you put this sorry affair behind you, he was only earning a Div1 salary while he was with us. I think it was something around £2k a week, so comparative peanuts.

Imagine if you will a World where Fotheringham hadn't come to Fulham.

You see the world is no different and Fulham would still have been rubbish last season anyway.

That is an absolute ridiculous statement. Players like Fotheringham, Kiraly, Chihi and even Fazlic, should have never even been allowed near Fulham Football Club. Granted, wasn't their fault, but those 4 alone could have supported the wages of 1, maybe 2 players that could have made a difference last season.

We were part rubbish due to signing players like the above, relying on youth, and pulling a squad completely apart that never needed doing. Plus, we had an idiot of a German in charge who thought he could redesign the Championship.

Oh calm down. I was one of the few who said we would struggle while others were wetting themselves about a quick promotion. Fotheringham alone made little difference. But it is obvious we signed the wrong players and had the wrong manager. Instead of being upset over the signing of one player I was upset for years about the way the club were going.

Just thank God things are slowly changing. Yes they are.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Nothing against the lad, and thanks for the small bit of effort he did put in, but he along with Kiraly should never have been anywhere near the squad last season.
Not angry about this anymore as there really isnt any point in being so
