Yes Rico has come out of the blue, but it has legs. 6ft 5ins and 24 years, apparently a one year loan. It's all hearsay, but it begs the question why.
I thought Betts who has had a niggling injury, was fit for selection for this Saturday.

Maybe there are issues with Fabri?? He has let a few in during the friendlies!
Only guessing! 😋

Can't help but be excited/relieved re Bryan ... cut-throat, the Transfer market at times - but good for us!
Stay Fulhamish ~ stay unique

Me too.

Though I think Targett  would be a good signing, with his previous experience with us - but that's not looking  that likely it seems.

The fact that neither of the two has Prem experience, doesn't matter, I don't think - well, how can you tell how someone  will do, but they're both promising young players, who I feel can step up to the plate, like several of our Championship side.

Look at it this way, saving £8m by buying Bryan allows us to go all out for Hugo Mallo

What makes you think we couldn't afford both Targett and Mallo?
Also Mallo is just a rumour anyway, one of 50+ players we've been linked with this window

Mallo is more than just a rumour, they used the Celta game to scout him and there's a genuine offer. Never said we couldn't afford both but it's common sense that if you save £8m on one deal then you're able to reinvest that elsewhere as the £8m we started the bidding for on Mallo will probably go up a bit anyway should we get him.

Alan Nixon tweeted that Bryan never signed a contract with Villa so there shouldn't be an issue there either

Barrett487

Should the Bryan transfer fall through to us, Villa will welcome him with open arms

If he signs for us, he won't be the first with 'Bryan' on his back, and i hope he scores a few goals of equal quality as the last one (from LB of course)

Well unless we sign a third keeper, a record breaking midfielder, a left back, a forward and a new mascot then it will be a bit of a let down.  :003:
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

A new mascot???

Whats happened to Billy the Badger then? Or is it to replace Sir Craven?
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Sky Sports reporting that Joe Bryan is having a medical with us this morning, fee agreed with Bristol City.

You missed a bit - "Bryan is understood to prefer a move to the Premier League" - don't you just love to read that  :005:
It could be better, but it's not a fantasy:

I see a lot of negativity towards Bryan and I think that is a little unfair. We've had a great transfer window so far and if we can get Bryan over the line and a couple more to beef the squad up and improve the quality then no one can really complain.

By the end of today the club will have likely invested somewhere in the region of £100m if we get 2/3 in before 5pm close.

Le Merchand can play left back and has played at a higher level, but the club obviously feel they need a more natural/different option and in Slav I trust. Bryan looked a great player in his position in the championship, so I see no reason to not give the guy our support and hope he becomes a steel!

I for one am not disappointed with our business this window and will be chuffed if we can get another 3/4 in today! LB, CDM, Attacker and RB.

Riversider

According to Sky, 3 in today, 2 defenders and one defensive midfielder.

Could be a busy old day, once they remove Steve Bruces car from blocking the entrance to MP.

I wonder if the Manager of St Pauli is driving to Motspur Park to persuade him to join them 😀👍

Great transfer window I must admit. Surely it will get better today. As a new season ticket holder, I am quite excited and looking forward to this season.
