Downing tools

Could some of our players be tempted to down tools and force a move away given the reported unhappiness in the squad with AA?

Player power seems to work the majority of the time in either getting a move or getting the boss kicked out of office.

King certainly has impressed me. He's thriving on his regular starts.

Leno worries me, and Iwobi has just be plain awful so far.

There must be something going on in house to  dramatically fall off under a new regime.

If players are deleting Fulham from their Social Media, do you think it could possibly be because we booed them at the end of the match last Saturday?

The Booing at the end sounded louder that the Cheering during the match which resembled a morgue, and summed up our support which has moved from an embarrassment to a laughing stock. No matter how bad Fulham played, I would never boo our players.
My wife boos me every time I wake up, but that is well deserved.

Iwobi at back end of last season was the same and sooner TC is fit the better alongside Charles as he always puts the effort in bring in leconte for Leno and try to get a free agent keeper in maybe David button with a back 3 with sess and Tete either side and we would look more comfortable in the present system of AAs.
Just my suggestion.as for booing players I never would.

The booing and the chant on Saturday was a disgrace although it didn't continue for too long.We are all aware of our defensive shortcomings at present but nobody can argue we are playing the correct way and there is no lack of effort in this team.

It's a cryptic post from Kevin, some random geezer claiming he spoke to Kenny Tete on a Lime bike, and a couple of players purging socials which apparently they also did last year. It literally means nothing at this point.

I don't think TC can play the high intensity system required by Arbeloa.

Deleting from social media is such an insecure thing to do seriously my nephew does that when he falls out with his girlfriend then they make up again

Whilst booing does generally feel like an odd pantomime thing to do, it's one of the few ways to make it clear (to owners, management and players) that fans are dissatisfied (short of holding protest signs etc up). 

It serves a purpose, and has provoked a wider national debate about how recklessly we are playing, and how some of players and manager aren't delivering.  That shouldn't be censored.

As for players deleting social media and or downing tools - it's pretty pathetic.  These are very highly played professionals, doing their dream jobs knowing full well that part and parcel of the game is accepting the adulation and also the boos/criticism.  Fans aren't to blame for the immature reactions of certain players. They still need to do the jobs that they are being paid to do.

If my boss told me I'd underperformed, I wouldn't delete my LinkedIn profile and switch off at work for the next few weeks.

Why is it always the manager that gets sacked? When will teams start sacking players for poor performance, putting them on a PIP etc. It must be one of the few jobs in the world where the boss always gets the boot

How one reacts to criticism is all down to character. I remember when I was coming up through my career and if I got a bollocking from my boss, I knuckled down and made sure it didn't happen again. These days when I give the slightest bit of feedback to some of my team they wither on the vine, sulk for the next three days then send me a long email about how I hurt their feelings. It's all going to come down to whether our players are the first or the second types of personality.

I would be surprised if professional athletes actually down tools.  If they do/did, I would find absolutely inexcusable.  I agree with some here that Leno and Iwobi have been less than stellar so far, but there have been a few bright spots.  All losses so far only by the single goal, so we are not being stormed over.  Methinks the sad results so far due to new system learning.  But we do need to see some changes/improvement in defensive structure.  Hopefully upcoming Liverpool tilt is a 'close' game, win, lose or draw......
