Good man managers at clubs, like Silva always seem to have a decent assistant coach(s) who they trust to work with the team. Tigana with Christian Damiano, Hodgson with Lewington spring to mind

Nope, needs to prove himself first somewhere as a manager, and sadly he might have screwed that one with the disaster at national level. Bit of a silly job to take tbh cos they hardly have the talent to compete and not like he could sign new better players there.

Yep, we had a few good wins but his last two games, away at Everton and home to (a then) goal shy Man City, were dreadful. Maybe we would have still scraped the points to stay up but that would have been a gamble. His post Fulham club management career has shown that getting rid was the correct decision.
