Really? Guy wasted so many crosses

Anderson all day long. MOTM, for Bournemouth!

Good riddance and forces the clubs hand.

But Bassey was MOTM obviously. While Diop was having afternoon tea, Bassey turned into a better winger than Wilson or Bobb! Ok, not Bobb, but Robinson. My eyes are still burning after those Sunday league crosses. I hope he can gain form again if he stays.

Quote from: SerbianLad on May 09, 2026, 07:58:06 PMI do think some of the comments here are being unfair to some of our players. We lost, but there were some stellar performances. Bassey was by far the best centreback in this game. He won all of his duels pretty much and he was also pretty effective going forward. He was miles better than e.g. Senesi who should have been sent off but the referee bottled it. Lukic was the best midfielder on the pitch. He was absolutely everywhere, had a good long distance attempt as well as some very intricate passing, and almost a great backheel assist for Bobb. Castagne had a very good game, I'd argue it was better than the Villa game, in which he got a lot of MOTM shouts. Robinson, poor crossing aside, was pretty much faultless. Kevin and Bobb provided bright sparks late on and were also pretty good.

I agree, we have some good PL players but the tactics and teamwork is failing them.

How does someone like Robinson, who had one of the best crossers as a teammate for years in Joe Bryan, become such a terrible crosser of the ball? I've said it before, he needs to just shoot low and aim for the keeper or far post. That would be more effective than his over-hit row z's.

Anyway, MOTM Cairney for me. Played from deep and orchestrated everything when we went down to 10 men. Should've struck some shots from distance, but still made an impact in our build-ups.

Voted Bassey. The only player who showed some passion. Good forward runs, a few decent probing passes. Strong and physical without being at risk of a card.

Bassey - bossed it and looked good going forward.   Really would like to see him at LB with Diop & Cuenca in the middle.

Quote from: Jules on May 09, 2026, 06:34:06 PMWe need to recruit Bournemouth's transfer scouting team. They just keep replacing players sold for huge fees to the likes of Real Madrid (Huijsen), PSG (Zabarnyi), Liverpool (Kerkez), Man City (Seyenyo) with more quality like Rayan, Truffert, Kroupi etc now also now in demand for big money. Now 16 games unbeaten and eyeing champions league. Smaller club than us with a tiny ground of 11k capacity. Very jealous.

Agree entirely. Their scouting network is brilliant. Ours is awful
That's the difference between Professionals and Amatuers.

We have a scouting network?  Where?

Baden Powell is in charge.

I go for Calvin Bassey, he set an example on how to keep your head when things go pear shaped.
He led by example and was instrumental in keeping the back Divisions balance, depth and shape.
My observations are that the team are hamstrung by the system of play Silva adopts, it's painful and the players do not buy into such a slow tempo, but then only a masochist would. So easy to play against, Marco appears to be a one trick pony.
To a certain extent Marco is also Hamstrung, by the owner who does not share the same ambitions.
He is a businessman not a football supporter, so has no empathy with the managers we have had, because as long as we can stay in the Premier League, even if it meant finishing 4th from bottom every year.
Of course he would be happier if we could stay in mid table as it would add more value.
But as far as Fulham's managers who have served under him are concerned he is completely on a different planet.
He is waiting for the right moment to sell the club, to get the best return. Silverware is not his priority, neither are the loyal Fulham supporters.
As long as he can get maximum financial return, he couldnt care less who supports the club as long as the customers money is coming through the turnstile.
The frustration of the current situation where we do not know who our manager is next season is due to his policy of not allowing the manager have more power as to running the football side of the club on a daily basis.
Silva has probably had enough of having his hands tied behind his back. So the club are getting the worst out of Silva. Is he waiting for an offer to come along that suits him, although the football he is serving up makes Parker ball look exciting.
So at the moment we currently have a manager who has run out of ideas, who has currently lost the appetite he once had and the drive that is needed due to his fractured relationship with the owners, and that is why I have some sympathy for him.
However unless any alternative is found to find a solution, I can only see it all ending in tears.
So one way or another neither Silva or the current owners will be around that much longer, or the tourists and fair weather punters, but the genuine loyal supporters will be.

Castagne is a classy full back who was brilliant at Leicester.

Fulham lucky to have this Belgium international. Versatile and a key player in any team.

He does what it says on the tin. Mr Consistent

There is nothing to say that our scouting team are not finding players that is their job, but they don't decide who is or isn't signed, for all we know they may have recommended some really good players but the recruiting team didn't want them. I used to do a bit of scouting and put forward some good players that were not acted on, but I done my bit.

I am glad that I am not the only one to notice the excellent performance of the much underrated Castagne.

Not sure that the scouting network is at fault, we were linked with Semenyo, Cherki, Gyokores etc we just don't always follow it through.

Another thing I'd like to note is that I'm very disappointed with Wilson's recent performances. He's trying hard defensively, but he's completely ineffective in attack. In a few moments Chukwueze switched to the right yesterday, he looked great. Bobb also looked great when he came on the right. I'd honestly start Chukwueze/Bobb on the right and Kevin on the left in the next match.

WindyCity

Just another disappointing outing, especially at CC.  WHU, Everton, B'mouth all recent losses at home.  Frustrating and disappointing.  Couldn't really pick out a motm so no vote from me.  Thought Kevin looked lively in his cameo.  Also pleased with Bassey, seems to be the only one trying to push forward and show some aggression.  Not impressed with Bobb.  Unfortunate for King that he found the woodwork, although opponent found woodwork several times as well.  Leno poor on goal scored, thought he should have done much better.  Deserved outcome I thought, FFC really didn't deserve something out of this game.  Absolutely no offense/threat.  And why, oh why, when trailing in a game, is there so much sideways and backwards passing?  Seen this all season long.  Oft times plenty of green grass ahead of ball carriers, but not interested in moving forward.  Especially noticeable yesterday when 10 v 10.  Anyway, just an uninteresting effort from our lads.  Not sure if it's the players or the system they are asked to play.......
