So after this season has fizzled out into oblivion and recent performances nothing short of garbage, is it time we had a captain who's on the field for the full 90 mins.

Cairney has been a good captain, but can't last the 90 and barely plays. Andersen shouldn't be anywhere near the arm band after the dross he served up today, and Robinson has been completely off the boil since his knee injury.

Who should it be?

I thought TC played well today given he had to play for 70 mins and was pedestrian as usual.

Neither are captain material, though great players and the closest we've got.

Thankfully, our new hard as nails summer signing to replace the traitor Anderson will fill the role.

Agreed, not a leader amongst them, you don't have to be the best player but you need to have a voice and be committed in every sense. Look at Henderson for Liverpool, never the star but never ducked out of a challenge and was always vocal.

I don't think a captain being on the pitch for the full 90 is going to make a difference.  We've looked flat for a while, putting the armband on somebody else is not going to change that

Andersen does just fine at being captain and our center back. He leads the team by a big margin at clearances and minutes played. We are a bait and switch build-up type of team, so his long balls bring in that variety to keep defending opponents on their heels - something that only Pereira could do before.

Andersen made a stupid decision and equally stupid reaction. He acknowledged and apologized for it by what he's put out on social media - so turning him into a villain is just low hanging fruit. Gobble it up though.

3- Andersen please go somewhere else.

I have been harsh on Andersen for a while now.
His lack of pace in particular. Today's tackle was a leg breaking one. It possibly cost us any chance of Europe & I'm glad he's not playing the remaining games. It looked like a tackle from a player who has a plane to catch to join the family on holidays in Ibiza. Let the team & supporters down. But he did say sorry.
