Monday - Jose Mourinho announces he is leaving Benfica to join Real Madrid
Tuesday to Friday- it's announced Marco Silva is leaving Fulham to join Benfica.
Before the end of May the replacement for Silva is announced.
Silva then given the chance to wave good bye at the Newcastle game.
To be fair to all parties, Fulham and Silva I think this is the best resolution, it gives him a new challenge and it breathes new life into Fulham Football Club at a time when things were starting to get a little stale.

Silva might be going to Europe but not Benfica, its currently not a stable Club with solid management. Mourinho is just trying to leverage a new deal but from a weak position, he has Benfica 3rd and no chance of a Title but did go through the season with no loses - 22 win draw 11

If MS does go I hope we bring in an experienced and respected manager that doesn't need us more than we need them. Someone that will stand up to the Khans and say this is how we move the club forward to the next level. Someone that will shake up the club from top to bottom with a clear identity. Who will look at the scouting and get us to be more like Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth in buying low and selling high. To look at the youth team and find out why we don't have more youngsters coming through as we lose all the good ones.

We waste so much time buying players late in the window and not being ready for start of season only to then pay big money anyway for a bench warmer (Oscar Bob, ESR) towards the end of season or gamble on players that aren't good enough or can't get a game (Muniz Cuenca) and then have to rely on the old guard (Cairney, Reed) as we have no midfield depth.

I think MS & Fulham hasn't been the same since Boa and Stuart Gray left.

Be interested to see how swift we announce our replacement, if Silva does go and not extend.

Especially as "talks" over the deal has been going on for a long-time.

Thought we had that in MS. Certainly don't get the impression that our transfer history is littered with players Marco doesn't want and Marco has been pretty vocal with how much say he has in the transfer process.

So apparently Silva states today he doesn't know when the decition on his future will be announced.
That tells me both the club and he knows the answer.
Please just go and let us move on.

Personally think he will wait until after the Newcastle game so he doesn't get to hear the jeers from the fans for #%@#ing about.

I can't believe that a normally sound and sensible person like you actually typed that .
Whilst I think it's time for him to move on - the idea of jeering a manager who has given so much to this club is both abhorrent and quite frankly moronic and shows an unbelievable lack of grace and humanity.
Be ashamed - be very ashamed .

Surely it has to be H4, although haven't seen him for a while.

He is banned Alfie - hence the absence . He is also missed - I understand the mods position but if we had VAR on here it might get overturned

Glasner at Palace and Areola at Bournemouth have already announced they'll be leaving their respective clubs at the end of the season and I've not seen or heard of any negativity towards them from their supporters, so if Silva doesn't plan on being here next season why not just say instead of leaving things till after the Newcastle game???

General

I don't see why people are so sold on the idea of Mourinho commanding such a big job like Real Madrid anymore, he's not been top as a manager for a while and has been managing in Europe's lesser leagues as a result in Turkey and Portugal. He lost whatever spark he did have.

Don't get me wrong, he's had an incredible career as a coach, and as a human being at the top of any profession for as long as he was, he's allowed to step away from the limelight and more intense pressures and take a decent job in a smaller business for example.

But to suggest he could take the real job seems a bit farfetched
