Bonkers last day of the season

Aston Villa could help themselves for next season by losing their last game and finishing below Liverpool, this will allow either Brighton or Bournemouth to qualify for the champions league meaning the Premier league would have 6 teams. This will enhance the co-efficient scoring and increases the chances of 5 champions league places next season. Another bonkers scenario is Brentford could finish 7th by beating Liverpool but if Brighton and Chelsea win they will finish 9th but for 9th to be conference league Brentford would have to lose allowing Liverpool to overtake Villa. Of course if Brentford lose they can be overtaken by teams below them.

whatever the scenario where Brentford dont qualify then I want that one  ::scarf::

So long as West Ham beat Leeds and Spurs lose then Arsenal have a chance of the treble

So if we beat Bournemouth Wolves and Newcastle we could get CL?

as long as Liverpool overtook villa then yes we would have been playing champions league football by winning our last three games.

Can we host European games? While investigating Bournemouth's eligibility on size (they are ok as 8,000 is the minimum capacity) i discovered the minimum pitch size is 105m x 68m. Craven Cottage is 100m x 65m. Have things changed since 2009/10 or did we get special dispensation?

I dont believe this is correct re 9th place. Whats the source?

Not sure about that, maybe the Conference cup, that will have to play some very poor sides hundreds of miles from the nearest airport and have to play on Thursdays and Sundays.

Praying Everton and Spam win. Will be great seeing spurs go down. They obnoxious fans getting relegated. One of the so called big 6 going is a good thing for the game

it's everywhere that if Villa finish 5th and won the Europa league that extra champions league place moves to 6th, 7th and 8th would be Europa league and 9th Conference league because Man city won both cups. This only works if Villa finish 5th.

I don't think both of City's cup spots get given to the league. Think only one does? I think in any scenario eight teams will get Europe, not nine.

Good question !

I had to look it up and found out UEFA did give Fulham special exemption back in 09/10 since Craven Cottage is an historic ground, hemmed in on one side by a listed Archibald Leitch designed stand and on the other by the River Thames.

The general rule for pitch measurements for elite footy are as you said, but UEFA include special clauses for clubs with historic and listed grounds.

Just so long as West ham beat Leeds and Spurs lose. That's all that matters to me at this point as every Spurs fan I have met is far more important than I could ever be and god's gift to the footballing earth.
