Really hope he goes now. It's gone on too long and he clearly wants to leave. If he stays at this point its just because he has run out of options elsewhere. His heart will not be in it for Fulham. It's best that he leaves, we get a replacement and move on.

You are literally relying on gossip from underemployed sports journalists to form that opinion, What has he actually said to support your view?

He's kept us waiting for an answer for months without committing. The club have put a generous contract on the table. These are facts. He is so clearly waiting for another option to come open for him. This is all fine. He is out of contract literally from now. So,what i am saying is I want him to move on. We can thank him (would have been better to do this at the last game) and the club can appoint a successor.

It's a small point but my understanding is that he is out of contract from June 30th. Stand to be corrected on that? I'm sure someone has the facts.

Correct, however.

For the last 2 seasons, Marco Silva has been highly frustrated with the board at Fulham over late signings, the wrong type of signings, control, and ultimately funding, that allows him and the club to compete and sustain European cup football.

Whilst I'm not exactly Marco's biggest fan, last season, he was promised a bit more control, and a head of recruitment on British soil at Motspur Park, which the Club also failed to deliver.

He is, ultimately, a big fan of Fulham, loves the club, fans, and is doing this not just for him, but the fans also, as he feels they too have been let down.

Most of what we are reading right now is noise from the Portuguese media, Mendes has been pushing the issue on behalf of Silva, mainly to push Fulham so he gets what he wants.

Ultimately, Silva is entitled to explore other options, if his time at Fulham does come to an end, he'll want another job, but Benfica can't offer him what Fulham can.

This, ultimately comes down to who blinks first, Fulham or Silva, but have been told he is more likely to stay now, than he was 6 months ago.

It's been a week now and having promised to give us a decision we as fans no nothing more. So either Marco has lied or the club hasn't made public what his decision is.

Either way it is quite frustrating, and a bit disrespectful

Still on the side of the fence that would prefer Silva to stay personally. I replied to a post late last week saying we should know no later than the weekend and yet still a bit in limbo? Is there a possibility that Marco takes a break from football for a few months and look at his options later in the year. Normally there are a few teams around Europe who don't get off to the start required and come October owners fingers are ready to pull the trigger? Forest being an prime candidate?

Personally I'm just bored with it all, if he stays he stays and that's ok, if he goes he goes and that's ok.

No one knows what has gone on, what is going on it's all media speculation based on snippets of info.

When did we first offer a contract?
When did we improve that contract
When did Silva give FFC a list of demands, or did he ever do so?
When did his camp start talking to Benfica?
Did talks break down between them?
Has he made his mind up?

The answer to the above is not any fan or media (with any certainty) just those involved in the process

I have no info aside from media reports which over the last week keep changing from he has, he hasn't, there is, there isn't. Quite frankly all frustratingly boring.

I guess there is a few days to the World Cup so unless someone gets injured the stories will continue

If he goes his heart was no longer in Fulham so it's for the best. If he stays got to hope it isn't under duress as that's only gonna finish one way. Either way the club needs a decision - he hasn't covered himself in glory to say the least.

Was planning on renewing my ST today so would have been good to know if he was likely to be manager or not. Don't get me wrong, I'm renewing anyway, I support Fulham FC not individuals, but like others, just feel the uncertainty has dragged on long enough.

It really is ridiculous.  It's going to be another scramble at the end of the window to recruit, even more complicated with the World Cup plus no idea what players the manager wants in!

I hope the back up plan for his departure is in concrete and ready to go.
