Fulham identify Oliver Glasner as top target to replace Marco Silva
Fulham are reportedly considering a move for Oliver Glasner to replace Benfica-bound Marco Silva this summer.

According to Sports Boom, Fulham are reportedly interested in exploring a move for Oliver Glasner to replace Marco Silva. The long-standing Portuguese boss is set to join Benfica, leaving the Cottagers to look for a viable replacement, as Crystal Palace's history-making manager has emerged on their shortlist.

There have been plenty of managerial changes at Premier League clubs, but most of those have been resolved with viable replacements in place. Only Fulham and probably Crystal Palace are the ones left to resolve their position, as both London-based sides are set to see the back of their current tacticians.

Oliver Glasner is set to depart Crystal Palace, a decision he made at the start of 2026, and he will leave as a hero from Selhurst Park. After helping the club win their first piece of major silverware last season following their FA Cup triumph, the Austrian made history by landing the first European trophy at the club after winning the Europa Conference League at the end of May.

Fulham to Target Oliver Glasner?
Fulham have confirmed the departure of Marco Silva after five years at the club. During this period, he helped establish the Cottagers as a mid-table Premier League team after bringing them up from the Championship. While the dream of qualifying for Europe remained elusive, he left a big task for the club to find a manager.

They have been reportedly linked with Kieran McKenna recently, but now the club are targeting Glasner as a viable replacement for Silva. The history-making 51-year-old Premier League manager could be seen as an ideal candidate to bring his ideas to Fulham and help build a successful era at the club, similar to what he did at Crystal Palace.

Does Glasner Suit Fulham?
Glasner built an identity over at Palace and helped establish a system and style at the club which was previously missing. Hence, his task is cut out should he end up joining Fulham, as Silva has done a good amount of groundwork and left the club in a better position than Glasner found Palace when he joined them.

Unlike Palace, Fulham could provide Glasner with the tools to build a long-term project and will hope he brings success here. From a stylistic perspective, the Austrian plays differently from how Silva had things at the club, but these are academic concerns, as the Conference League winner could help take the Cottagers to the next level in their evolution.

Fulham eyeing Arne Slot as Marco Silva replacement
Fulham may turn to former Liverpool manager Arne Slot to replace Marco Silva this summer, with the Portuguese tactician calling time on his spell at Craven Cottage.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Arne Slot is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are scouring the managerial market for a long-term replacement for Marco Silva, who has left the West London club. The former Liverpool manager has thus emerged as one of three targets on Fulham's wishlist, with the Cottagers "preparing to open talks" with the 47-year-old.

Arne Slot and his managerial career so far
Arne Slot has become a household name since entering the managerial sphere nearly a decade ago. The Dutchman was a solid midfielder during his career as a footballer, but he went under the radar despite playing in the Eredivisie and representing well-known clubs like NAC Breda and PEC Zwolle.

The 47-year-old entered the managerial world in 2016, taking over at SC Cambuur for a short stint before rising in prominence during his spell with AZ Alkmaar. However, Slot's stock soared during his spell with Feyenoord, spending three seasons at De Kuip and winning the Eredivisie title and the KNVB Cup. Those exploits earned him a move to Liverpool, and the Reds won the Premier League title in his debut season.

However, the Reds were dreadful in his second season at Anfield, failing to win a trophy and only managing a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League. The horrendous performances rightly invited relentless criticism, and the Merseyside club sacked him last week before Andoni Iraola took over as the new head coach. However, Slot may not be unemployed for long.

What next for Slot?
Recent reports have linked Arne Slot with AC Milan, with the Rossoneri combing the market for a new head coach after sacking Massimiliano Allegri. While the Dutch tactician has reportedly held talks with the Serie A giants, Fulham will offer him the chance to redeem his image in the Premier League.

The Cottagers have a gaping hole to fill in the managerial hot seat after a fruitful union with Marco Silva. However, with the Portuguese tactician vacating his role to inch closer to a move to Benfica, the West London club must procure a replacement. Recent reports have linked Fulham with Oliver Glasner, but Slot is also a viable target.

The Dutch tactician's tactics should suit Fulham's current squad, but he can succeed at Craven Cottage with a solid summer transfer window. The 47-year-old Dutch tactician may feel he has a point to prove after his stint with Liverpool ended in a whimper this summer.

Five potential Marco Silva replacements
Who's next in the hot seat?

Now we've dried our eyes and taken down the posters, on our bedroom walls, it's time to turn our attention to the future.

Who will be in the dugout at Craven Cottage next season?

Shahid Khan said that the club will appoint a new Head Coach in "a timely but deliberate manner". Timely is an interesting word. It does not necessarily mean quickly.

A lot has been said about this regime's track record when it comes to appointing managers, but after five years of sustained success, we're an attractive proposition to anyone. And there are a lot of options out there - some with clubs, and plenty without.

Look, I know you'll say "Where's Amorim and Slot? We've been linked with them!". Let me stop ya right there. That is club media briefing 101. "This is the calibre of coach we're after - but we want you." So with that in mind, let's have a look at five of the most realistic possibilities.

1. Kieran McKenna

He's the bookies' favourite and the man cited in most reports as high on Khan's wishlist.

He came to prominence after two successive promotions with Ipswich Town, taking them from League One back to the Premier League after 25 years away. Their return was a short one, finishing with just 22 points having spent north of £100m.

However, McKenna has brought the Tractor Boys back up at the first attempt, and they look better equipped to mount a survival challenge this time around.

McKenna would be my choice; he plays a style of football we enjoy and that suits the core of our squad, plus he's good at developing young players. Change is tough, so mitigating that with similarities in coaching philosophy is important. Just look at when clubs try to push things too far, too fast - Spurs going from Big Ange to Thomas Frank (more of those two later).

2. Ange Postecoglu

If you want entertainment, but your fingernails bitten to the quick, Ange-ball is the answer.

We all know how committed he is to his footballing idealogy. Aggressive, front-foot football. He says he wants his teams to play like the European sides he used to stay up watching with his father. He wants to be entertained. That's all we all want, right?

Well, that and a level of success. Postecoglu has shown he can deliver that, both in Scotland and in England. But south of the border, the line between success and failure is more blurred, and he's fallen foul of that.

Like Ange-ball, this one's risky, but the pay-off could be huge.

3. Thomas Frank

Here comes the first of two divisive ideas.

Frank ground out success at Brentford by valuing efficiency over aesthetics. We saw when he replaced Postecoglu at Spurs that they're like oil and water. So on that basis, even over the fact he's ex-Bees, I just don't feel like this one would work.

There's also the question of how he'd slot into the club's structure. Tony Khan loves data - it's his domain. How would he react to the Dane coming in and wanting control over the analytics that were so key to his success elsewhere?

I for one am not interested in a battle of the nerds. Next.

4. Frank Lampard

Who really wants this? I mean really?

I am convinced that Lampard will become manager of Fulham at some point in my life, simply because I can't abide the idea.

The pros? Frank has shown he can nurture youth. Look at players like Mason Mount and Reece James when he was at Chelsea. He even helped a young Harry Wilson at Derby, who's gone on record to say how much he owes him.

But tactically, he's behind many of the managers on this list, and for all his successes - Champions League qualification with Chelsea, promotion with Coventry - he has just as many dubious tenures (Everton and his second stint at Chelsea as caretaker).

So, on balance, it's a no from me, Clive.

5. Liam Rosenior

If Liam was still at Strasbourg, we'd all be quite pleased with him as an option. Football managers have egos - it's what makes them successful. Rosenior is no different. He - like dozens before him - thought that he could change the basked case that is Chelsea. He was, of course, wrong.

But he's got something. He has an eye for spotting and developing young talent, something we've been crying out for more of, and he's tactically astute. But his style of football isn't as attacking as I think we'd like at the Cottage, so I'm hoping that this one is without legs.

Liam Delap backed for Premier League move to Chelsea rivals under new manager
Liam Delap has been tipped for a move to Fulham if Kieran McKenna takes over at Craven Cottage.

The Ipswich Town boss is interested in replacing Marco Silva in the dugout, talkSPORT understands.

Silva has left the Cottagers after five years in charge to become Benfica manager.

McKenna is currently seen as Fulham's No.1 target to succeed him, but has an £8million release clause in his Ipswich deal.

Fulham latest
talkSPORT's chief football correspondent Alex Crook provided an update on their pursuit on Friday's Breakfast show.

Joining Shebahn Aherne and Carlton Cole, he explained: "I think Kieran McKenna is their preferred choice, but not a cheap deal to do.

"He's got an £8million release clause in his contract, but it's interesting because if Fulham signed a striker for £8million, it wouldn't be seen as a lot of money, but clubs they're always reluctant to pay for managers.

"You think how important the managerial role is these days, that baffles me a little bit."

He continued: "It's a step up for him. It's going to be another battle to keep Ipswich in the Premier League.

"You kind of see Fulham now as this established Premier League team."

McKenna is fresh from guiding Ipswich back into the Premier League at the first attempt after finishing second in the Championship.

It represents his third promotion in four full seasons as manager at Portman Road.

Delap on the move
If appointed as Fulham's new manager, signing a striker could be amongst his priorities this summer, and Cole had the perfect name in mind.

He asked if this could see Delap move to Fulham, and Crook responded: "Very good question. Well, obviously Raul Jimenez has left.

"He's in talks with Wolves, by the way a lot of their fans would welcome that return, so yes it [Delap to Fulham] could be a good shout."

Admitting he was just being speculative, Cole added: "I think it's a good shout. I'm just thinking outside the box!"

Jimenez will depart the club as a free agent upon the expiry of his contract at the end of this month.

Meanwhile, loanee Jonah Kusi-Asare is set to return to parent club Bayern Munich, leaving Rodrigo Muniz as Fulham's only senior centre-forward.

A move across London for Delap would see him reunite with McKenna, who signed him for Ipswich in 2024.

The 23-year-old went on to score 12 goals in 37 Premier League appearances for the Tractor Boys despite their relegation.

However, he has failed to recapture that scoring form since moving to Chelsea last summer.

Delap has scored just three goals in 47 outings across all competitions for the Blues.

Having arrived for £30million on a deal until 2031 a year ago, the forward still has five years remaining on his current contract.

National team coach tells Fulham man improvement he needs to make
Oscar Bobb continues to establish himself as an important member of the Norway national team, with his move to Fulham and consistent club football helping him secure a place in the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The attacker is widely regarded as one of the most talented players available to Norway. However, competition for places remains intense, with several other highly rated attacking players also pushing for regular opportunities. As a result, Bobb must continue to maximise every chance he receives at international level.

Focus on Continued Development
Norway's coaching staff remain committed to helping Bobb refine key areas of his game. While his technical ability and creativity are already evident, there is a belief that further improvements can make him an even more effective player for both club and country.

Particular attention has been placed on his positioning and decision-making in decisive moments. These aspects are viewed as important areas for development as he seeks to take the next step in his career and become a more influential figure in the national team setup.

Bobb was involved in Norway's recent match against Sweden and produced a strong performance. His display included several encouraging moments, demonstrating the qualities that have made him such a highly regarded prospect.

Manager Highlights Key Improvement Area
Despite the positive aspects of his performance, there are still areas where the coaching staff believe he can improve. The focus is not on his ability to create opportunities, but rather on how he finishes them when they arise.

The manager wants Bobb to become more decisive in front of goal and believes he should focus on taking opportunities earlier rather than attempting overly complicated solutions. Developing a more ruthless edge in attacking situations is seen as an important part of his progression.

As reported by VG, Ståle Solbakken explained what he would like to see from the attacker moving forward. He said: "He was very good and found nice positions, and then he has to learn to finish. He still lives in the land of little putts where you dribble past the goalkeeper and take it over the line."

Thomas Frank issues statement ruling out return to management after Tottenham exit
Dane has been out of work since being sacked by Spurs in February, but had been linked with Premier League openings

Thomas Frank has ruled himself out of the running to sign as Fulham or Crystal Palace manager, confirming in a lengthy statement that he will not take on a new job this summer.

The Dane was sacked by Tottenham in February after a dismal eight-match winless run.

He was considered to be one of the best options on the managerial market as a variety of Premier League clubs seek new bosses this summer, with Fulham and Crystal Palace needing to replace Marco Silva and Oliver Glasner, respectively.

But he has now confirmed that he will not take on a new job any time soon.

Frank wrote in a statement via the League Managers Association: "There have been conversations and opportunities since leaving Spurs, but I have decided not to rush into the next role. For me, this summer is not the right time to go back into management.

"When the time is right, I will look forward to my return as a manager, ready to embrace the job with great energy and dedication."

The ex-Brentford manager left Tottenham languishing in 16th in the Premier League table after an eight-match winless run, and was replaced by interim boss Igor Tudor. When he failed to right the ship, the club turned to Roberto De Zerbi, who dodged relegation by beating Everton on the final day of the campaign.

Frank has steered well clear of the limelight since his tumultuous Tottenham spell ended, choosing instead to spend time with his family.

He seemed to struggle with the heightened media pressure that came with stepping up from Brentford to Spurs, with candid comments surrounding the side's poor form alienating both fans and players.

His public persona suffered a hammer blow in the weeks before his dismissal when he was pictured drinking out of an Arsenal-branded cup while walking on the pitch before facing Bournemouth.

Frank finally broke his silence on Friday, though, expressing gratitude to those who had supported him after the sacking.

He added: "Leaving Tottenham has given me the chance to step back and reflect on my journey so far. Football management is a profession that demands complete commitment every single day, and periods like this are a rare opportunity to assess, learn and gain a fresh perspective.

"From the outside, it may have looked like a time of many challenges at Tottenham when results were not what we wanted. From within, however, it becomes clear why the club is so special - full of talented people who work tirelessly every day. I have no doubt Tottenham has a bright future.

"Football remains a huge part of who I am, and I have chosen to use this time productively. Over the coming months, besides spending time with family and friends, I will continue studying, observing and learning from other leaders both within sport and beyond it."

Frank will feature as a pundit during the BBC's coverage of this summer's World Cup.

Arne Slot rejects Premier League job approach just days after Liverpool firing
Arne Slot was fired by Liverpool last Saturday and he has already been approached by a Premier League rival about potentially taking over this summer

Arne Slot has rejected the chance to speak to Fulham about the vacancy at Craven Cottage following the departure of Marco Silva, who is set to join Benfica.

Liverpool fired Slot on Saturday after a below-par season, with Andoni Iraola having been confirmed as his successor. But Slot is not desperate to return to management just yet and has been linked with taking over as the Netherlands' head coach after the World Cup.

According to The Times, he has rebuffed the approach from Fulham. Kieran McKenna and Pierre Sage have also been linked with the job in West London, with Silva departing after five years.

Slot was dismissed on Saturday after finishing fifth with Liverpool. Iraola was installed on Thursday, with the Spaniard determined to be the best option moving forwards.

It is understood that Liverpool wants a faster and more aggressive style of play at Anfield. Slot's side toiled for much of the previous campaign, though there were mitigating circumstances.

"I think you don't need a lot of things to get attracted by Liverpool," Iraola said.

"Liverpool is Liverpool. But obviously the atmosphere, the supporters, the club, the players, the chance for me to coach top-level players, the chance to fight for titles.

"I think it cannot be more attractive than this. It's difficult to find it. So, really excited to start, yes."

Iraola will also link up with sporting director Richard Hughes again, who he worked with at Bournemouth for one year. But he insisted there was no need for any additional draw beyond getting the chance to coach a team like Liverpool.

"Obviously it helps a lot when on the other side of the table there is someone who you have already worked with," Iraola said.

Tottenham Hotspur Identify This Fulham Winger As A Target: What Will He Add To De Zerbi's Side?
In a recent post on X, transfer insider Paul O'Keefe claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Fulham winger Harry Wilson as a target for this summer transfer window. It has been stated that Spurs have set their sights on the Welsh talent as they look to strengthen their squad this summer.

Wilson's Impressive Numbers In The Premier League
The 29-year-old caught the eye at times with his performances on the right side of Fulham's attack last season. Wilson found the back of the net 11 times and earned eight assists in 41 matches for the Cottagers in the previous campaign across various competitions.

The Welsh sensation is currently one of the most improved wingers in the Premier League. Thus, it is no wonder that Spurs are hoping to get a deal over the line for him in this transfer period.

His current contract at Craven Cottage will run out at the end of this month. Hence, Tottenham could sign him on a free transfer if they can convince the player to join them this off-season.

What Will Wilson Add To Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi's Side?
Wilson can make a few dangerous runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has got the eye to play some killer passes in and around the opponent's penalty area and can shoot the ball with a lot of power from long range.

The Welsh talent can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Wilson is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if told to do so. He has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won't take much time to settle into life at Tottenham.

Wilson would add more goals and creativity to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi's attack. He is good enough to fight for a regular first-team place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming years.

At 29, Wilson is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for Spurs to pursue in this summer transfer window. The Welsh playmaker will also help Tottenham compete across all fronts over the next few years. With all things considered, he would be a decent choice for De Zerbi to consider this off-season.

The Norwegian article about Bobb is spot on.

I hope that what they say can be taught & learnt by Bobb because I don't see any "the end product" from him. Yet.

Definitely a player in there.

I really don't get this from the first post:  "Unlike Palace, Fulham could provide Glasner with the tools to build a long-term project and will hope he brings success here."

From what I've seen, Glasner frustration was Palace selling great talent and not replacing.  Why and how are FFC any better at doing that?  Has the Metro loss ever really been replaced?  Besides, I think if this is truly Glasner reason for leaving Palace, it does ring a little flat, since Palace has gone on to win silverware and Euro play recently.

While selling maybe a contributing factor, I stick with my grind & pressure view. After all, he came from a fairly low pressure league. When he turns up somewhere, we may know the answer.
