Just out of curiosity, I can see why City may dip losing Pep, but why do you say Arsenal will dip? apparently they have a massive transfer budget, they will bring in some top players.

Arsenal may dip if the league crack down on some of their corner dark arts, I hope they do. Also the time wasting. Fifa specifically changed the rules for this World Cup to crack down on that, so maybe the league will follow suit.

I'm happy to eat some humble pie on this.....but Spurs winning the league based on a few alright signings is a staggering prediction in my opinion. They have a lot of issues to fix before getting top 6 again, let alone winning a title.

Indeed. Pretty sure people were predicting them to do rather well under Thomas Frank after spending a bit of money on players like Solanke, Simons, Kudus, and they were woeful. There appears to be a Spurs bug, you join and you get infected, I think they'll do well to finish in the top 8.

I see that affecting more clubs than just the goonies though, if the English FA/PL incorporate just a few of the FIFA changes for next season it's be a whole different ball game (pun intended), though PGMOL mob will, no doubt, fail to implement those rules that might cause them to actually make any decisions detrimentally impacting the bigger teams.

Hackney from Middlesbrough to Everton today looks to be a good signing for them, to complement Dewsbury-Hall last summer.

We could of had both of these players. Both ideal for us, but we are too slow. I hate being pessimistic so often about our transfer policy but it is so frustrating seeing teams around us strengthen whilst we leave everything to the last minute. We need a new manager announcement asap and minimum of 6 quality players in this summer including a starting striker and playmaking box to box centre midfielder. We will be in a relegation battle otherwise. Tick tock!

I hate this type of comment, we were only "to slow" if we actually wanted them. Just because you think they are ideal for us doesn't make it so. We can't announce the new manager until work permit sorted.

It's a sickener frankly. On the other side, if you're a small club that have a good season your team will immediately be decimated.

By decimated do you mean given £80m+ for each of your top players by teams that will bench them? I'm pretty sure that's the ultimate goal for a small club, to buy low and sell high.

It is, look at bournmouth season before last, selling 150m worth of players only to have another great season, qualify for Europe and are now selling a couple more for huge sums. Great business

Definitely the way to  go.
However, we are unlikely to get even near to this when our Management Team live on another continent and have multiple other sporting/business related interests to occupy their time.
We are grateful for the vast sums that have been invested in us, but given the strategy above and the financial restrictions, it's a set up similar to Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford that we need to progress from where we are.
